Beissl and his wife are amazed when Ellis' 15-year-old niece Ava from Berlin suddenly appears at the door. In her backpack she not only has a pair of headphones, but also a few secrets that will make Beissl angry and make Johanna an accomplice. The head of the Berchtesgaden police is also reminded of unpleasant professional memories. Because, of all people, her former assistant at the tourist office, Daniel Kovac, has become one of the prime suspects. This doesn't leave Elli alone and she begins to investigate on her own. But she has a completely different problem as well. Her sister Moni, Ava's mother, unexpectedly appears in the Beissls' doorway. Except for Elli, no one is happy about this visit. Moni has brought unopened mail for Ava. Ava sees no other option than to confide in the pub the dark secret that drove her to Berchtesgaden.
