The Tracey Ullman Show is a satirical comedy show comprised of short skits. Within the show was a two minute animated pageant featuring a family by the surname Simpsons. The Simpsons has gone on to become the longest and most successful television show ever when it was picked up by the Fox Broadcasting Company in 1989. It has aired for 36 years (and counting) and a total of 765 thirty minute episodes (and counting), it's entirety being broadcasted on Fox. The Tracey Ullman Show gave us many laughs with it's short format clips, years ahead of the trend that dominates the internet and television today, but it's biggest contribution was giving us The Simpsons, the greatest television show ever.
