The Rat Patrol
A four-man team of commandos within the Long Range Desert Group fights the Nazis in North Africa. Armed with jeeps equipped with .50-caliber machine guns--and endless chutzpah--they wage a highly-irregular war against Rommel's Afrika Korps. Their most common nemesis is Hauptmann Dietrich, though Dietrich and the Rats join forces from time to time against a common enemy.

The rat patrol ambush a pair of motorcyclists then become victims of an ambush themselves with all their vehicles being destroyed. A secret map indicates there might be a waterhole within walking distance so they set off across open desert. The boys of the Rat Patrol have to draw on all their cunning and guile to survive what awaits them at the waterhole.

The colonel's driver who was wounded during the " capture" wants to go along but it's uncertain where his allegiances lie so he is denied permission. So he forces himself on the mission.

But no one believes he has anything. The team rescues Troy who knows the boy has what he came for. So they try to find him. But the Germans upon learning this, takes the boy's sister, in hopes of trading her for what he has.

When some Arabs try to kill the team, they discover they have in their possession information about them including some photos and among them is a photo of Troy with his brother, David. Troy learns his brother is in the country and arranges to meet him. When Moffitt asks what's going, Troy says that someone is after them. And that someone is a German officer whom, they encountered with before and was left disfigured and permanently injured. He has Troy's brother taken and one of his men is left behind to bring Troy to them. Troy finds his brother's jeep and the man left behind and "asks" him where his brother is. The German then lays a trap for Troy.
