The Nine
Nine surviving hostages from a spectacular bank hold-up meet regularly. The memories keep haunting them, in flashbacks that slowly reveal the story. Two surviving perpetrators in jail, who are brothers, and the police, including survivor Nick, also remain focused on its aftermath, which keeps affecting all of them, their loved ones, their colleagues, and others.

Lucas Dalton, his brother Peter and their mate attempt a bank robbery, taking everyone hostage, despite noticing the presence of cop Nick Cavanaugh. When the police raids 52 hours, the bank guard is murdered. Egan Foote, who meant to commit suicide, becomes an accidental hero. Pete Dalton is killed, Dr. Jeremy Kates can save some of his fellow hostages. Nick furiously hits his boss for conceiving the shitty rescue plan, yet is offered a promotion without punishment if he 'keeps his opinion to himself'. Nine survivors, including Jeremy, Nick, his friend assistant D.A. Kathryn Hale, the banker and Egan, start a regularly meeting informal group. Felicia misses the first meeting, to see Pete in jail.
