The Lennons join Mac in "Stop and Smell the Roses" and are spotlighted with Joan in comedy sketches about being left at the altar, and about having a baby. Fred Smoot portrays an astronaut commanding a rocket-ship ride at a carnival, and Mike Neun makes a comic Presidential address. The cast joins Mac in a rendition of "Fall in Love with Your Wife."

Loretta Swit, Roy Clark and Rich Little are the guests. Rich and Roy join Mac in a medley of popular songs including "In the Summertime," "Hey, Good Lookin'," "Cheatin' Heart" and "King of the Road"; Roy and Mac do an instrumental version of "The Great Pretender." In comedy sequences, Roy and Loretta play inebriated chapperones at a school dance and Rich impersonates Johnny Carson, Jack Benny and Jack Lemmon.

In comedy spots, Dick performs a mime routine on baseball, Mac plays a prisoner in a jail run by con-artist Jimmie, and the entire cast partakes in an argument between lovers Mac and Helen. Fred Smoot delivers a monologue about impressing a date on a roller coaster ride.

Raymond Burr, Olivia Newton-John, Jerry Van Dyke and comedian Gabriel Kaplan are the guests. Raymond and Mac portray hobos having a potluck meal, and Raymond sings "Where Does Love Go?" Gabriel Kaplan delivers a monologue spoofing a popular record about the U.S.
