Single girl Gwen Hutchins (Shelley Smith) romances fellow passenger Dennis Grant (Dennis Cole) but fears that he won't react well when he hears that she is pregnant.

And a guy from Doc's hometown (Randy Powell), whom he helped send to medical school so that their hometown could have a doctor, comes on board to introduce Doc to his fiancée (Cindy Morgan) and tells him that he's not going to practice in their hometown. So, Doc decides to resign and be the doctor of his hometown.
