Ten home baking enthusiasts will be put through a series of grueling elimination challenges, baking a mouth-watering selection of cakes, pies, tarts, pastries, bread, biscuits and desserts, all in the hope of being crowned Australia's Best Home Baker.

Episode 1

Cake Week

The 12 new amateur bakers in the shed must tackle three Cake challenges: the signature is twelve identical Lamingtons, the technical is a Pear and Amaretto Upside Down Cake and the showstopper is an iced and decorated Hombre Cake.

Episode 2

Biscuit Week

The remaining amateur bakers in the shed must tackle three Biscuit challenges: the signature is three dozen savoury Biscuits, the technical is sixteen Florentine Biscuits and the showstopper is an iconic landmark made made from Biscuits.

Episode 3

Pie & Tart Week

The amateur bakers in the shed must tackle three Pie And Tart challenges: the signature is a family size Savoury Quiche, the technical is four Pistachio Frangipane Tarts, and the showstopper is a Self Supporting Three Tier Pie.

Episode 4

Chocolate Week

The bakers face three Chocolate challenges; the signature is a Chocolate Slice with three layers one of which must be baked, technical is a Chocolate Dacquoise, and the showstopper is thirty six Miniature Milk/White/Dark Chocolate Cakes.

Episode 5

Bread Week

The bakers face three Bread challenges; the signature is six Burger Buns with patty/fillings, technical is a half dozen Fig, Walnut and Fennel Seed Baguettes, the showstopper is six Savoury and six Sweet Bagels in an edible bread basket.

Episode 6

Retro Week

The remaining seven amateur bakers are in the shed where they must tackle three 'Retro' challenges: first up is a Swiss Roll signature, the technical is a dozen Neenish Tarts, and the showstopper is a Bombe Alaska (Baked Alaska).

Episode 7

Pastry Week

The bakers must tackle three 'Pastry' challenges; first up is a dozen Danish Pastries - half each of sweet and savoury, the technical is two individual Lamb Wellingtons, and the showstopper is a 3D Animal Sculpture made from Choux Pastry.

Episode 8

Sweet Dough Week

The last five bakers in the shed must tackle three 'Sweet Dough' challenges to reach the semi-final; first up two dozen identical Iced and Filled Finger Buns, the technical is a dozen Bienenstich, and the showstopper is a Decorated Babka.

Episode 9

International Week

The four semifinalists must tackle three 'International' challenges to reach the semi-final; first up is a Baked Cheesecake signature, the technical is a Porcini Three-Cheese Souffles, and the showstopper is an Around The World Cake.

Episode 10

Final

The three Finalists tackle three challenges to determine the Winner; first up is the Signature an Opera Cake, the technical is a dozen Sfogliatelle, and the showstopper is a Masterpiece Cake which is up to the bakers.
