Based on the John Grisham novel and subsequent Tom Cruise movie, this drama picks up 10 years after the events in the film to examine the new life of the man who brought down the Memphis law firm Bendini, Lambert & Locke. Mitchell McDeere (Josh Lucas), his wife Abby (Molly Parker) and their daughter Claire (Natasha Calis) are out of witness protection and living in Washington, D.C., where Mitch starts up a firm of his own, along with his brother Ray (Callum Keith Rennie) and Ray's girlfriend Tammy (Juliette Lewis). But it's a rough go, so when Mitch is approached to partner with the successful firm Kinross and Clark, he agrees. The deal seems like a solution to his problems, but Kinross and Clark may have ulterior motives.
