Comic Andrea Rosen is a first-time mom who has a lot to learn about kids. She decides that the best way to learn how to raise a child is by asking for other mothers' advice. She travels across the country, taking to the streets and posing questions to women of different cultures and backgrounds about raising a responsible, caring child. Each episode focuses on a specific topic that helps her with one aspect of parenthood. To paraphrase Rosen, her ultimate goal is not to raise a jerk.
