In Season 4 of "Switched at Birth," the consequences of Bay (Vanessa Marano) taking responsibility for Daphne's (Katie Leclerc) actions become clear as rumors of Kathryn's (Lea Thompson) book becoming a movie are rife. Meanwhile, Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) go through a difficult patch leaving them with a decision to make, John (D.W. Moffett) and Kathryn deal with money worries, and Daphne struggles to make her dreams of medical school a reality. Elsewhere, a party turns ugly for Bay and in the aftermath she struggles with Emmet's (Sean Berdy) reaction as the whole campus gets involved.
