Superior Court
On the heels of the successful "Divorce Court," "Superior Court" was among a wave of reality-based courtroom dramas released in the late 1980s. Both criminal and civil procedings were presented, with most cases involving shock value rather than routine cases. Examples of cases included a defendant tried for murdering another man, but the defendant claimed he saw the actual perpetrator in a dream; and a man who sued a financial institution after a banker swindled him out of $10 million.
