Season 1 Episode Guide See All

Episode 1

LL Cool J

Wed, Aug 9, 2023

Episode One begins with four humans being asked stupid questions about LL Cool J. From his reactions, LL Cool J seemingly realizes that the questions are stupid. There's a new star in every episode. Nate Burleson is co-host. He tries to act cool. Keltie Knight is also on the set. She uses her arms a lot. LL Cool J sings, and the whole in-house audience attired in red sweat shirts sways in a manner that is embarrassing for their family members while LL Cool J sings in a sparkly jumpsuit that would cause RuPaul to sneer. The TV audience (us at home) meanwhile votes on Twitter to decide who is the ultimate LL Cool J superfan. (Didn't anyone involved know Twitter is now X?)

Let's Make a Deal

17 Seasons
CBS adds to its daytime game-show lineup with an updated version of the classic TV show of the 1960s, filmed in Los Angeles. Hosted by comic/singer/actor Wayne Brady, contestants, often dressed in a wide variety of original costumes, will still compete for money and prizes by striking wacky deals. Jonathan Mangum is the show's announcer, and Monty Hall, arguably the best-known host of the earlier version of the show, is listed among the new show's creative consultants. The program won 3 Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Original Song: "30,000 Reasons to Love Me," Outstanding Directing in a Game Show and Outstanding Game Show Host - Wayne Brady.

Survivor

52 Seasons
Over the spring of 2000, 16 average Americans, divided into two tribes which eventually merge into one, were sequestered on the deserted island of Pulau Tiga for 39 days. For their stay, they must learn to live as a tribe, although eventually, it is everyone for themselves. They compete in challenges for "luxuries" (a barbecue, a phone call home, etc.) and immunity. Every three days, the losers of the latter challenges must face tribal council, where they will account for their actions by voting one person off of the island. At the end of Day 39, only one survivor will be left, and will leave the island with one million dollars. Based on the Swedish game show, "Operation Robinson."

Jeopardy!

44 Seasons
"Jeopardy!" is a classic game show -- with a twist. The answers are given first, and the contestants supply the questions. Three contestants, including the previous show's champion, compete in six categories and in three rounds (with each round's "answers" being worth more prize money). In the third round, "Final Jeopardy," the contestants can name their own jackpot -- as long as it's within the amount of money they've already earned. If a player finishes the second round with zero dollars, they are eliminated from "Final Jeopardy."
