The first season of "Strike Back", subtitled Project Dawn, begins with agent Porter (Richard Armitage) being abducted by a Pakistani terrorist named Latif (Jimi Mistry). Disgraced ex-Delta Force operative Damian Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), who once worked with Porter, is called into action by the secret squad known as Section 20. He leads a team of elite soldiers through a complicated series of clues so that they can uncover a cache of nerve gas Latiff plans on using for nefarious purposes. The plot becomes complicated when Scott's team discovers that the gas may have been intended to be used by American forces in order to prove Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Soon a scientist with knowledge of the gas becomes a target for the terrorists.
