The body of a drowned girl is found in the industrial port of Split. For Branka Maric there is no doubt that the twelve-year-old was the victim of a crime. Show traces on her wrist: The drowned woman was previously tied up - possibly by smugglers who kidnap girls and sell them to their tormentors. Branka doesn't give a damn about the instructions to leave the investigation to the organized crime department. Little did the Commissioner suspect how dangerous the case is for her when she went on to investigate on her own. During the night a bomb explodes on her lover Lado's yacht - with Branka on board. In order to solve the attack, the homicide squad receives unwelcome support from the capital: the successful, but unpopular detective Stascha Novak with her male colleagues. She wants to continue her track record with the spectacular case in order to force the overdue promotion in Zagreb. The division in Split, however, would like the case to be resolved by the domestic forces. Emil gets into a quandary: He and his colleague Borko should let Stascha run into the void.

An assassination attempt takes place during the secret video shoot of pop star Ira on the beach in Split. When her bodyguard throws himself into the line of fire, a bullet hits him fatally. The perpetrator, a masked motorcyclist, escapes undetected. Commissioner Stascha Novak, the new head of the homicide squad, takes over the investigation. A lead leads to an anonymous stalker who scares the singer with malicious posts and threatening warnings on social media. He wants to prevent Ira from marrying her manager Mate. When Stasha's colleagues Emil and Borko find the stalker, he has already gone into hiding. Ira's mother Danica and her father Alen are also - as the inspector finds out - against the upcoming marriage with Mate. Rumors circulate about the successful businessman in the underworld of Split, but they cannot be proven. Mate doesn't want to be intimidated, as he spreads in the media, and in spite of the danger he doesn't want to postpone his dream wedding with Ira. Stascha and her team face a difficult mission at the major media event: They have to prevent a second attack at the celebration.
