Episode 1
Sprachlos
Young cab driver Martina Opitz is fatally shot in the morning, not witness, apparently no robbery. Her family can't think who would want the mother dead. Employer Sascha Weinert is suspiciously uncooperative, even aggressive to the police. Martina's partner Ulf Schumacher hides a spectacular secret: his official residence is with legal wife Jana and her daughter Kiara, but allegedly neither family knew about the other. An inconspicuous detail on the apparently irrelevant recording of a bank security video near the murders site proves the key lead.

Erfroren
Interim slaughter house veterinarian Fabian Borke froze to death there, locked in the cooling cells after the working week. Manager Ole Grigor dislikes the 'troublesome amateur', who constantly ordered tests suspecting never-confirmed antibiotics abuse, which temporarily blocked loads of pork. His uncle Dr. Becker, whom Borke stood in for after since his wife's death turned him less reliable, never saw such problems. Borke actually had compromising information of dodgy payments and illegal antibiotics use, notably in the large breeding firm of Christian Lohmann. yet the official Rostocker lab tests the last samples negative.

Das Ende vom Lied
Hajo Silberstein, front singer of regionally popular band "Ostwind", seemingly drowned in his bath, actually staged after asphyxiation with textile, without trace of robbery. Band mates Hotte Brehm and Kalle Schulz, who disputed his excessive share of band receipts, report choleric Hajo's heavy row with jumbo-sized, Hajo-obsessed Ostwind fan-club president Hannah Witt, whom he planned to replace, while she waves an apology letter, claiming they made up as hastily. Hajo insulted young Schlager singer Dörte Hecht in a live talk-show, after which her ex-Boxer husband Henning Färber threatened Silberstein's life.

A day after freshly-divorced stud farm owner Alf von Rosakowitz's engagement party, his much younger bride Valery Miller is missing, half a million Euro ransom demanded by video Helene considers proof she's genuinely suffering. His ex Sabine threatened 'gold-digger' Valery. While engaged, Valery intimately met her ex Jürgen Roll again, whose devoted sister works on the estate. Stable hand Maike Hansen mistrusts them, still devoted to 'model mistress' Sabine.

Verlorene Tochter
Loner Romy Kiener lies dead under a bridge, blood traces at home suggest she was moved to stage a suicide. She was devoted only to her adult daughter, who recently heard about trouble at Romy's work for caterer Sascha Lutz, who illegally used ingredients past expiration date to avoid bankruptcy due to killer competition. Nurse Jana left home after a big brawl, as turns out over the conclusions from a blood donation and contacted a couple from out of Wismar.

Unterm Hammer
Thomas Seifert was killed in his study, wife and child are missing. Three years earlier, Thomas incurred lasting brain injury from which he recovered physically, but never regained his sunny personality and turned recluse, badly straining his marriage and last friendship. Thomas Seifert showed interest only in collecting old letters, some of which are the only things missing at home. Teen apprentice roofer Jannis Brüggmann caused Seifert's injury by not securing a hammer, had no insurance, moved in with his strict grandfather and was condemned to all Seifert's medical costs plus a monthly wage-substitute, which the knave could never pay off while Thomas lived, effectively preventing any social life. Nils however finds a surprising relevance in the missing letters, bringing the flee market trader into the picture.

Die Moorleiche
In the morning mist, farmer-publican Konrad Bredow discovers in a moor the corpse of Johannes Missfeld. The engineer and his firm came to check up on the local bio gas plant, which malfunctions and poisons the fields with normally clean residue. Fellow engineers Tim Melchior and Nicole Bohn act shocked but report Missfeld recently rowed with Rudolf Mahr, who was recently paroled after a violence prison term, but denies. The team digs into rivalries within the local plant board members, research firm and toxic dumping scheme.

Tod im Feld
Robert Brand's hunting mates shoot to stop a tractor which nearly runs over him, but the driver, his brother-in-law farmer Peter Dahlke, is dead behind the wheel, shot by a hidden third party murderer. Dahlke's sister Lisa never registered as their late father's co-heir so she was merely allowed to live with him on the farm. Peter Dahlks also seems to have a mysterious girl friend, probably adulterous.

Farmer Wolf Stegemann was fatally shot on his land. Adult son Maik and wife Lotte neither mourn the subtle sadist-adulterer nor heard anything. Wolf's publican Sandra Krüger eagerly points out what a lousy house father he was. Neighbour Bernd Huber was desperate for case but Wolf refused a lucrative log-term lease to the planned wind energy park firm of a jointly owned land. Yet the team also digs up a family secret from the GDR days, having spotted a commercial' inheritance expert' preying into paternity.

Über den Dächern von Wismar
EU translator Dietmar Lemke's retired parents where CO-asphyxiated at home. Before licensed chimney-sweep Thomas Thiele can confirm it was the result of a badly installed new wood stove, as later confirmed, Thiele makes a most suspicious deadly fool from a rooftop. Thiele also rowed with his wife Sabine, who denies marital troubles, but funded his ailing business, not the first time. The team focuses on Thiele's staff, apprentice Marie Hoffmann and full employee Fabian Kaiser, a recovering drug addict, as well as dirty competition.

Meine beste Freundin
Düsseldorf criminal judge Marion Krenn was beaten to death at night in the marina, on annual holiday to a German Unesco heritage city, now Wismar, with her best friend, München prosecutor Silvia Vandenberg for a week. Marion Krenn carried a roll of cash, a dangerous habit. Local loan-shark Heiner Lommack, the "Wismar Godfather", was seen there at the time, to Nils's horror flirting with his mother, publican Biggi Theede. A witness also saw her bickering for unknown reasons with Silvia. Marion sentenced repeat offender Georg Kleinschmidt most severely, stirring a revenge promise, and he recently left jail, coming to Wismar, as did a surprising extra suspect.

Krieg der Sterne
City guide Marina Lombardi regularly organizes nocturnal "Wismar bei Nacht" shows, focusing on the recording of the first vampire movie Nosferatu, a role played after hours by Tobias Schellsen. He was killed by blowfish poison in his luxury vodka. He lived from paid PR for hotels on websites, albeit with a fraudulent business model: selling good reviews and stopping to post negative ones., with housemate cahoot Anke, who is missing. Niels gets romantic all the way with Marina, but also finds out her Russian true identity and secrets.

Die Leiden des Sammlers
While Nils is off to the dentist, captain Jan Reuters takes a personal interest in the murder of his retired mentor Günther Eckner, who was gagged and beaten to death at home. His prized stamp collection was stolen from the safe, presumably after torturing him for the combination. The team starts questioning fellow philatelists and dealer. Son and heir Michael Eckner desperately begged, in vain, to sell the collection to pay for his kid son's life-saving treatment. Meanwhile constables Timmermann and Leena, who flirts with preacher Helge, investigate the theft of a medieval statue from a protestant church. Reuther finally remembers in-living sister Doris Eckner's Russian affair.

Bernd und Harry
Driving at night, Bernd Kreutzer and Harry Feldmann pass a car that smashes against a tree. believing the driver dead, they steal the cash on the backseat and leave unseen. The only calls with the victim's pre-paid phone were to banker Karl Becker and wife Lisa, who just paid a far larger ransom for their kidnapped baby Max. The kidnapper in in coma, unable to tell were the baby is, who must be found soon. The team looks into the babysitter who fell asleep, and the banker's clientele, including an impending foreclosure.

Fotofalle
Ecologist Theo Barner goes missing two days after a forest brawl during which he seized the rifle of hunter Hansjörg Strack, who destroyed his candid game camera. Theo asked his girl friend to contact the the police if he ever went missing, given the hostility of hunters to his cameras. One recorded a masked man attacking Theo Barner, who isn't found. The team looks into Hansjörg Strack and innkeeper Hannes Krusska, his hunting concession partner, who for one lied about calling a taxi after a drunk party.

Der Stachel in mir
Nicolai Holzer desperately confesses he 'must have murdered' his unfaithful lover Regina Mitzerlich, who was strangled in his home, but he can't recall the details. The team suspects a third party, hence also questions especially his jealous wife Vera, and the victim's separated husband, businessman Ralf Mitzerlich, as well as her colleagues, while looking for the third key as there was no breaking, but a tranquilizer administered without trace.

Der letzte Aufguss
Professor Charlotte Hartmann suffers fatal cardiac arrest due to a blocked sauna entrance. Charlotte's boyfriend, sauna manager Marcel, is shocked and points at ex-con voyeur Ronny Ludwig, whom he caught taking nude pictures of her from outside. The latter in fact tried to unlock her, but was duly afraid as the team has a hard time believing him, although he lacks motive. Charlotte actually booked a romantic Turkish bath-treat for two with fellow professor Stephan Pohl, which Marcel ignored, but not his employee Melanie Meyer.

Omelette Surprise
Jürgen Frenzen catches his wife in bed with Rudi Treitschke whom he scares shooting a blank, but next morning is found fatally shot in the head himself with a Russian military sharpshooter rifle, hard to get by, except for Hansen-Hansen. Frenzen's supervisor calls him a tip-notch food quality inspector, who hinted at a scandal in one of tree firms he recently visited: an industrial bakery, the hen farm of Katrin's former school crush a marmalade-factory. Frenzen's expensive life style on a modest state salary suggests bribery.

Stars cook Hauke Mertens was skull-smashed in his gourmet food-truck. His success drove competitors to despair, including chief Reuters' fish sandwiches serving friend Fritz Habekost, who was near bankrupt and accepted a fake municipal grant for 'city friendly businesses' in cash. Mertens' fresh widow Susann financed his new venture after they moved form Berlin, but he failed to stop working late every day as promised. A witness spotted around a Berlin-plated Motorbiker, identified as Boris Weber, Mertens's former restaurant partner, who has a bone to pick with him.

Ausgebremst
Mechanic Mirko Bode is skull-smashed while returning a revised car. Mirko's depressive ex-girlfriend Lisa Geers was recently dumped. His boss Sigrid Baltes planned to make Mirko a partner, despite his criminal record, her brother Peter Baltes doubted if Mirko really turned the page. The investigation finds various machinations, yielding various suspects, also from private life, due to infidelity and abuse.

Das Nashorn
Sekt (bubbles) winery owner, Johannes Nienberg died from a fatal head wound at home, where only one thing is missing: the horns from a rhinoceros hunting trophy, the third generation family company's label emblem, worth up to 200 000 Euros, yet there are no breaking traces. Son, heir and manager Frank Nienberg sees no other motive, his mother was to Berlin with a friend using concert tickets Frank gave them. Long-estranged second son Holger Nienberg, who left the family to become a fisher, hides having had contact, both have alibis. Johannes Nienberg recently contacted his first love again, Dr. Elisabeth Schwarz. Frank covered up the wine estate he bought from his wife's family was a major mistake.

Aurafrisur
Helene finds her hairdresser Ricarda Haase fatally stabbed with her scissors in her salon, where she also made 'aura pictures' for selected gullible clients, allegedly the basis for life coaching. She learned it from secret lover Finn Schlüter, who helps his wife Aurelia Fassnacht run an esoteric center, which Ricarda once took a course at. The team find both spouses alibis fake, as with Reuthers former hairdresser Eddie Schamoni, from whom Ricarda rented the salon, at mate's rate.

Als er fortging
Surgeon Otto von Weinstein's corpse is found by a jogger. Fresh widow Hilde von Weinstein waited anxiously as he didn't return from a stroll since noon. After an apparently natural death, he was dumped at the coast. Weinstein had a date in a station pub, where he handed over an envelop to a mystery man, who turns out a very discrete private detective. It's all about GO Benno Schneider, whose place in Otto's past links with Hilde's secret.

Über sieben Brücken
In the Ostseeklinikum, where forensic pathologist Dr. Helene Sturbeck lies with a broken leg, staff section chief professor Heinrich Hellmer is murdered in an empty wing. Hellmer was the transplant specialist, accused by anonymous mail falsifying disqualifying lab results to favor certain candidates, thus robbing valid ones of the are available donor organs. Recently appointed hospital administrator Dr. Angela Fahrenholz is clueless, Dr. Reichenbach finds it hard to believe his esteemed colleague would have cheated. Helene enjoys model care form cheerful nurse Michael and semi-romantic visit from commissioner Martin Boldt, who took leave from his Hamburg police academy job, arousing implicit jealousy with hospital-allergic chief Reuther.
Episode 25
Stummer Zeuge
Dr. Langhoff MD bled to death in her office from ahead wound against a table, her phone was disabled to prevent her seeking help. Reuter lost her, a young lover, to Dieter Langhoff, who divorced her and is in bitter strife for the beloved dog. Langhoffs practice assistant points at one bitterly disgruntled patient: tranquilizer-dependent architect Peter Grabowski, who has a criminal record for violence.
