The second and final season of the musical drama sees "Bombshell" facing difficulties as its creative team prepares to mount the musical on Broadway, particularly when producer Eileen (Anjelica Huston) is ousted after authorities learn that she financed the show illegally. To complicate matters, "Bombshell" is also facing tough competition from another new musical called "Hit List," written by newcomers Kyle (Andy Mientus) and Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan), who were discovered by Karen (Katharine McPhee). Memorable guest spots include Jennifer Hudson and Jesse L. Martin, who both have multi-episode story arcs. Debra Messing, Jack Davenport, Christian Borle and Megan Hilty also star.
