In the second season, J.D. (Zach Braff) settles into his residency at Sacred Heart, but his life is anything but predictable when his irresponsible brother Dan (guest star Tom Cavanagh) comes to town and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) dates nurse Paul Flowers (guest star Rick Schroder). Turk (Donald Faison) and Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) face romantic challenges of their own, as Turk tries to convince Carla (Judy Reyes) to take things to the next level, and Dr. Cox rekindles a relationship with his combative ex-wife, Jordan (Christa Miller).
