Season 2 of this supernatural drama continues to follow the residents of Arcadia, Mo., as their neighbors and loved ones return from the dead and attempt to rejoin the community. Most of the "Returned" have been detained in a government facility and are beginning to contract a mysterious virus. It's up to Marty Bellamy (Omar Epps) and Dr. Maggie Langston (Devin Kelley) to protect them from the strange illness and the "True Living," a group that has formed to oppose those that have come back to life. As Marty and Maggie work to keep their community safe, dark secrets surrounding the town's past are revealed that could hold answers to the unusual phenomenon. Meanwhile, Maggie's grandmother, Margaret Langston (Michelle Fairley), returns to Arcadia; Rachael (Kathleen Munroe) and her pregnancy complicate the relationship between Tom (Mark Hildreth) and Janine (Lori Beth Sikes); and discoveries are made about the Langston family's history.
