Written by and starring Jo Scanlan and Vicki Pepperdine, co-creators of the BAFTA nominated Getting On, Puppy Love is a story of love, dogs and the love of dogs. Set around The Wirral-based dog training classes run by the formidable Nana V (Jo Scanlan) - "For All Your Dogging Needs". Puppy Love follows two very different women - Nana V and Naomi Singh (Vicki Pepperdine) as they navigate their headstrong dogs, impossible teenage kids and disappointing husbands.

Nanna Vee lives in a trailer with overweight husband Tony and grandson Eron, whose mother is in prison. She also runs a dog training class through which she meets the handsome widower Alexander, whose Labradoodle Toffee has a habit of eating other dogs' messes. FuturZ social worker Naomi Singh visits to see about administering a grant for Eron and Nanna suggests she enrol Charlie, the badly-behaved Labrador Naomi has bought her spoilt daughter Jasmine. Naomi also takes a shine to Alexander, leading to a rivalry in which Naomi accuses Nanna of robbing her and accidentally lets Nanna's dog loose though both women are shocked to find a scantily clad Eron and Jasmine in a compromising situation together.
