Quasar Quest: Part 1

Alien aggressors attack the grubby inhabitants of planet Mirinoi as they ritualistically seek to know if any among them are worthy enough to wield a Quasar Saber by extracting it from a stone. In the melee, jungle girl Maya falls through a portal. On Earth, space station Terra Venture, composed of soldiers, security guards, scientists and an eclectic mix of citizens, prepares to head out on its deep space mission to colonize a fresh planet. Stowaway Leo Corbett won't let the lack of a passport prevent him from joining. Just as he's caught, Maya emerges onto the moon with three insectile pursuers.

Quasar Quest: Part 2

As Terra Venture prepares to leave orbit, guilt at leaving his friends behind induces Kai to steal the Megaship (now a museum) and put it back into service, taking along Alpha 6 and mechanic Damon Henderson through a space portal. On Mirinoi, the six Earthlings take a stand against evil alien Furio and his horde of Stingwingers. During the scuffle, Mike and friends get the Quasar Sabers. Infuriated, Furio seals the planet in stone and causes Mike to fall into a fissure, likely to his death, but not before passing his saber to Leo. Focused in anger, Leo instinctively leads the others into becoming Power Rangers. They battle and flee the planet, and through the portal return to Terra Venture.

Race to the Rescue

Maya's animal affinity allows her to hear the anguished calls of the five gargantuan GalactaBeasts, incarcerated by Super Cool Radster. Following Maya's lead, the Rangers arrive to free them. Gratitude and abject admiration allow Rangers and Beasts to bond over Radster's attack on Terra Venture.

Rookie in Red

Leo earns a place on the station by becoming the GSA's newest recruit, to be trained under Kai (who finds being in change of his Red Ranger leader more than a little awkward). Leo's lack of discipline allows Horn, a weapons master monster, to abscond with all the station's weaponry, but Horn's true objective is the capture of the Quasar Sabers. Fortunately, the Quasar Sabors have other plans.

Homesick

Kai and Damon discover that the saboteur halting Terra Venture's progress is a homesick stowaway named Matthew, pining for his mom back on Earth. Unable to return him, Commander Stanton has Damon teach the boy how to earn his keep (dealing with hazardous materials in a hazmat suit). Furio sends Gasser to put all on Terra Venture to sleep. All but Matthew and the Rangers succumb. As the Ranges handle Gasser, Matthew struggles to keep Furio and the Sting Wingers from taking over the ship's Command Tower. As a reward for proving himself an asset to the station, the Ranges take him home.

The Lights of Orion

To break through the protective seal leading to the famed and powerful Lights of Orion (housed in one of Terra Venture's mountains), Furio and Trakeena need the aide of a "chosen one." What better way than to engage Red Ranger Leo using his fallen brother Mike as bait? The ploy works thanks to the shape-changing services of Mutantrum, but a bitter surprise awaits those who finally open the box to the Lights of Orion.

Double Duty

Wisewizard, declaring that the renown Lights of Orion MUST be hiding inside an ordinary camera somewhere, heads out to seek, smash and discover. Meanwhile, the Rangers discover Carolyn, a spoiled starlet who fakes an injury so she can go shopping. Since she looks exactly like Kendrix, Kendrix agrees to sub for her despite a leg injury from Wisewizard (and despite pre-existing GSA and Ranger duties to boot). From Kendrix, Carolyn learns the value of determination.

The Blue Crush

Commander Stanton has a special assignment for Kai - take and film his young daughter Jody rollerskating. Kai privately begrudges the assignment till Hannah, a very adept skater his own age, catches his eye. Meanwhile, Furio believes the Lights of Orion now exist beneath the soil of Terra Venture and has Quakemaker shake things up with self-boring, earthquake-producing spikes.

The Magna Defender

Returning to the cave, Leo finds Furio (still looking for the elusive Lights of Orion), and the two lock into a fight to the death. Leo is spared thanks to a tall, dark stranger - the Magna Defender (from whom Leo gets an inexplicably strong "Mike" vibe). Scorpius, fearing for his safety, orders his new general, Treacheron, to enlist three monsters to kill him. Though the Magna Defender is squarely against the monsters, he doesn't ally himself with the Rangers, which leaves them puzzled.

The Sunflower Search

Reading a lot into Kendrix and Maya's praise of sunflowers, Treacheron and the other monsters conclude that the Lights of Orion must be hiding inside one of several sunflower statues aboard Terra Venture. The Rangers, meanwhile, find the Magna Defender's callous regard of others in his bold yet myopic quest for vengeance to be a problematical hazard.

Silent Sleep

The Rangers confront Chillyfish, a jellyfish monster whose stinging cold puts all but Leo, animals and the Magna Defender to sleep. To save the colony while the Magna Defender baits Scorpius with the capture of the Lights of Orion, Leo must ride a horse.

Cultural differences put a wrench in the Maya/Kendrix relationship when Maya devours the birthday cake Kendrix baked for Damon's surprise party. Ironically, the feuding pair become trapped together when Destruxo erects a force field wherein he can extract the Lights of Orion from Terra Venture's soil. While it'll take two asphyxiating girls (miniature versions of Maya and Kendrix) and a window display to restore the lady Ranger's friendship, the boys take on the Magna Defender when his overly aggressive efforts to break the barrier from without threaten the integrity of Terra Venture itself. At last, the Lights of Orion appear, and the Magna Defender succumbs to a glitch.

Orion Returns

The Lights of Orion, having once flown off into outer space, return to the vicinity of Terra Venture, igniting a desperate race between the Power Rangers and Scorpius' forces to possess them. As the Lights penetrate the space station, the Magna Defender enters the fray, despite his worsening heart condition. To their horror, Destruxo achieves victory and becomes an unstoppable foe, yet treachery befalls him when Trakeena uses Impostra, the shape-changing monster, to change things up. Once freed, the Lights themselves make a choice on whom to bestow their power, and a betrayed monster finds himself imprisoned.

Shark Attack

Trakeena finds herself double-targeted for revenge by both Treacheron and the Magna Defender. Freed from captivity by the loyal Shark brothers, Treacheron seeks retribution for his undeserved dishonor and wrongful incarceration; Magna Defender seeks an eye-for-an-eye against Scorpius for his young son Zika's murder. As the Magna Defender experiences further problems of the heart (in Mike's voice), the Rangers find themselves disadvantaged, unable to access the power of the Lights of Orion without Leo (sidelined with injuries). Stirred by Mike though, Leo quits his sickbed to engage in a fight to the death for the sake of his friends.

Redemption Day

When the Scorpion Stinger develops a critical fuel leak, Scorpius replenishes its lost supply by siphoning off energy through Terra Venture's Mountain Dome. This affords Magna Defender the chance to finally kill Scorpius, but at the cost of destroying Terra Venture. With his heart condition worsening and ToroZord deserting him, the Magna Defender admits his return came about due to taking over Mike's spirit back in the Mirinoi chasm, forcing him now to make a dire request of Leo - "Kill me" - but a ghost presents a different course for him to follow.

Destined for Greatness

With Mike's return, Leo considers leaving the Rangers in handing back his Quasar Saber to Mike, since it was actually Mike who originally drew the sword from its stone. A new monster attacks and the other rangers are soon captured. Now Mike and Leo must mount a rescue to save them. As they endeavor, the spirit of a passed acquaintance appears to pass on his powers.

Stolen Beauty

A stunner herself, she infiltrates the station to set about poisoning Magna Defender Mike. Scorpius, however, has an unpleasant surprise waiting for her back on the Scorpion Stinger, a cocoon by which to finally transform her into an immortal insect like her father.

The Rescue Mission

As station personnel struggle unsuccessfully to translate the book from the derelict alien ship, Deviot comes before Scorpius, offering the three greatest MegaZords in the universe towards his service in exchange for being named second in command and entry into Scorpius' transformation cocoon. As Kendrix discovers that the alien book refers to three missing Galactabeasts, Deviot abducts Damon and Kai to power up his Zords with their Ranger energy, spent in a forced fight against each other.

The Lost Galactabeasts: Part 2

As Scorpius' newest general, Deviot summons Hardtochoke to lead his evil Zords towards the annihilation of Terra Venture and the Power Rangers. Since the Galactabeasts won't fight Deviot's Zords, Leo initiates a plan to detonate the Astro Cycles against them, taking them out for good, but Kendrix, through the Galaxy Book, discovers their identities as the Lost Galactabeasts and races to stop him. Their last hope rests upon the Lost Galactabeasts remembering who they once were.

Heir to the Throne

Purposefully deceived by Deviot, Scorpius himself takes on the Power Rangers, thinking daughter Trakeena their prisoner. Trakeena, meanwhile, hides out on a desert planet, where she comes out the loser in a frontier outlaw saloon bar fight. Addressed respectfully by the chivalrous monster Villamax, she accepts warrior training from him. Following a successful afternoon of getting warriored up, word of Scorpius dying draws Trakeena quickly to his side, only to be told it was all the Red Ranger's fault. As the Power Rangers celebrate Scorpius' death with a picnic, Maya senses the evil change in alien command.

An Evil Game

Together, Villamax and Deviot successfully bring Leo before Trakeena, where she can deal with him personally for the death of her father. Though evil, Villamax shows himself to be a warrior of his word, while Deviot, contrarily, keeps two assassins lurking close by to eliminate Trakeena at their earliest convenience. Their failed attempt provides Leo some liberation, Deviot some frustration, and Kegler an interesting observation.

Memories of Mirinoi

Trakeena sends monster Rykon to impersonate Maya's best friend, Shondra from Mirinoi, in order to steal the Galaxy Book. Initially suffering a twinge of jealousy from the exclusivity of their reunion, Kendrix' dejection turns to suspicion when she notices Shondra sneaking out at midnight.

Green Courage

When a meteor (the vanguard of an approaching killer asteroid shower) disables the Scorpion Stinger, Trakeena has High Counsel Renier kidnapped to use as a bargaining chip in acquiring a capable mechanic. Damon volunteers, for Renier's sake, but Leo tags along in case Trakeena can't be trusted. He proves to be right.

Blue to the Test

As Terra Venture nears a red star giant, Trakeena has Icy Angel take mental control of Commander Stanton to plunge the space station into it. Their peril does not escape Kai's notice, who struggles with the issue of disobeying his commander's orders.

Having lost (due to Motor's underhanded tactics), Leo demands a rematch, putting up his Quasar Saber as collateral against winning the Maya and Kendrix trophies.

Loyax' Last Battle

Trakeena grants renown but aging warrior Loyax his request for one last glorious battle before retiring by pitting him against the Power Rangers. In the skirmish within Terra Venture's ocean dome, Maya and Loyax fall into its churning waters to awaken trapped inside a cave. Working together to escape, Maya questions the quality of his "honor." Once free, Loyax readies to resume their fight, now deeming Maya worthy enough to defeat alone, but Deviot's impatience for results forces Loyax to work alongside the Rangers against him.

A Red Romance

Leo gets branded a coward by a protective older brother when the girl he dates gets taken (along with many others) by Trakeena's latest monster. As the Rangers converge to bring down the citizen-napper, the anxious brother insists on helping them.

Deviot resurrects the Psycho Rangers for Trakeena to set against the Galaxy Rangers. Space Ranger Andros, aware of the impending attack, helps Leo fend off Psycho Red. The rest of the Space Rangers (except Zane) later arrive to help the Galaxy Rangers fight/defeat the Psycho Rangers.

The Power of Pink

The Space Rangers get a tour of Terra Venture from the Galaxy Rangers. Psycho Pink survived the battle and manages to find a sword that has increased her powers. Kendrix and Cassie battle Psycho Pink. Psycho Pink manages to damage Cassie's morpher, and starts a chain reaction. Kendrix makes the ultimate sacrifice to stop the ensuing vortex.

Meanwhile, both Rangers and GSA members combat the deafening decibels of Decibat.

Uttering a partially translated incantation from the Galaxy Book shorts out Terra Venture while summoning forth the ancient book's guardian warrior. Arrested, he tells Kai of Blue Ranger's destiny in helping him retrieve the book; but, as the space station's atmosphere proves detrimental to the guardian, Kai instead inherits the role, though not before Deviot completes the incantation that casts Terra Venture into the Lost Galaxy.

Not to be undone when Kai succeeds, Hexuba summons all powers of the fallen monsters to herself, bringing the Rangers and their Zords to their knees. To top it off, Commander Stanton shares some bad news about Terra Venture's condition with Mike and Kai.

Raise the Titanisaur

Despite valiant efforts, Terra Venture explosively loses its #4 engine to overheating. At this juncture, Capt. Mutiny decides to set his Titanisaur against Terra Venture, but it, too, suffers from overheating. While the captain works to fix the problem, the Rangers hope to capitalize on it. In the end, Terra Venture's #3 engine begins to overheat as well.

Escape the Lost Galaxy

Efforts of the Power Rangers to combat Barbarax' slave raids on Terra Venture prove ineffectual. By becoming part of "the latest haul," Mike infiltrates the enemy camp to strike from within and strikes up a connection with prisoner Haley to free everyone. As it happens, Kai, with Leo's help, figures out how to reverse the spell in The Lost Galaxy Book to escape back into their own universe, opening a portal. Seeing it, Cdr. Stanton (ignorant of the Rangers' rescue attempt, or of Capt. Mutiny at their heels) cuts his losses and heads Terera Venture towards the portal, but it begins to close. Mike, at great sacrifice, guarantees everyone's escape, but Trakeena, waiting right on the other side, delivers a special greeting to Capt. Mutiny.

Journey's End: Part 1

With Terra Venture's output only a tenth of normal, Cmd. Stanton steers her towards the closest planet, by chance an inhabitable green world that meets all their colonization requirements. Trakeena, having accidentally merged with Deviot in Scorpius' cocoon, becomes psychopathically evil. Her attacks upon the station force it to crash into the planet's moon and crack its main dome, but not without Leo damaging the Scorpion Stinger in return. Set to explode, the Stingwingers encroach upon the Earth colonists.

Journey's End: Part 2

The extent to which Trakeena goes to annihilate the Power Rangers, their Zords, and all aboard Terra Venture (rigging the Stingwingers to explode) appalls Villamax. As he and Trakeena reach a crossroads and a parting of the ways, sacrifices and losses hit both sides in warring factions as the Rangers oppose Trakeena's forces to help the Terra Venturers evacuate to the green planet.

Journey's End: Part 3

Now without allies, and with no other recourse, Trakeena gladly re-enters her father's cocoon to shed her mortal beauty and become an immortal, evil, insect warrior. With only Red Ranger Leo in her way, she powers up Terra Venture to send it hurtling towards its refugees down on the green planet. Though Leo moves to end the conflict once and for all, it takes the reappearance of forgotten friends to save the day, to make the Rangers aware of coming full circle, and to usher in the return of a lost friend.
