John looks at the calendar and recites the poem of the week 'The Shiny Little House' by Nancy M. Hayes. Benita has a broom made from twigs and recites the poem again. It is two o'clock on the flower clock, with a frog, shells, glittering stones and leaves underneath. John reads the story 'We Were Tired of Living in a House' by Liesel Moak Skorpen. Benita puts the branch, she cut off the tree log, into a bucket of sand to make a tree for the cubby house's garden. Benita and John sing 'The Green Grass Grew All Around'. John decides which animals may be found in a tree and which aren't: elephant, monkey, koala, cat and bird. The presenters sing 'Over in the Meadow'. Through the round window people are looking for a log to take back to their playground. John sings 'Humpty climbed the log, but he couldn't get down'. Jemima and Hamble also get stuck on the log. Monkey and Diddle are put in the tree, while Big Ted and Little Ted ride on Dapple. Benita and John sing 'Here we are Together'.

Alister makes a trumpet from newspaper, John uses rulers as drumsticks on a covered bowl drum, and Lorraine taps a spoon on glassware to make bell sounds. Jan and the presenters make a donkey: Jan uses a stool as the body, John H adds a mop for a mane, Benita a balloon head, John W shoes for feet, Alister a blanket saddle and Lorraine add leaves for ears. John W uses paper cups to make the trotting sound of the donkey. They sing a musical song about the donkey's journey to Bethlehem. Benita plays Mary, John W is Joseph, Alister is the various inn keepers, John H plays the role of the Inn door. Lorraine looks at a painting of the nativity. Alister, John W and Benita sing about bells ringing for Christmas. Benita discusses who you may spend Christmas day with, then recites the rhyme 'These are Grandma's spectacles'. John W recites 'These are Grandpa's spectacles'. John W, still pretending to be Grandpa, falls asleep in Jan's lap. Jan warns, "Watch it Grandpa". John W then pretends to be 'Cousin Peter' by wearing a bowler hat with a toucan attached to the top. Benita and Jan recite the rhyme 'Cousin Peter'. John W pretends to take photographs of Benita, himself, the viewer and Jan. Jan refuses to smile for the photo, until John eventually tickles her. Jan has a present, which John H begins eyeing off. Jan gives the present to John H. He unwraps it to reveal a story book. John looks at the flower clock, which displays six o'clock and has a frog, boot and pineapple underneath. John H tells the story of 'The Star (and George)' by Gerald Potterton. The other presenters make the noises of the rocket, which appears in the story. They help Lorraine decide what to put on top of the tree, by suggesting a boot, Cousin Peter's bowler hat or Jemima. Jan makes a cardboard star decorated with glitter, which Lorraine decides is the best thing to put a top the tree. Benita has Christmas crackers, with the first one containing a Christmas hat for Warren. The cast sing 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas'.
