Episode 1

When I Grow Up - Clever Creatives

Aka s371 Justine and Alex are joined by Tim to make music and sing 'I am a fine musician'. Tim explains why he became a musician. The presenters play a musical guessing game. Through the round window Chiara practises her moves to become a Professional Dancer. Justine and Alex look in the Wonderous Worker's Wardrobe to find fashion designer and photographer outfits. Justine is a fashion designer, creating a design using a tablet for her jacket, and Alex snaps away as a nature photographer. Justine pretends to be an artist and opens an exhibition of her paintings called 'Fruit Salad'. Then Alex poses in a banana outfit, acting as Justine's muse for a painting. It's half past three on the Rocket Clock, with a bag of sweets inside. Tim sings along to his book, 'When I Grow Up' illustrated by Steve Antony. Kiya goes for a walk through the city and sees some buskers: Maurice the magician, Little Ted the one-ted-band, and Jemima the clown. Justine, Alex and Tim sing 'Make 'em Laugh'.

When I Grow Up - Health Care Helpers

Alex and Matt learn all about health care jobs. They make a cardboard ambulance, which Matt drives. Nurse Ari explains how nurses take care of people. It's half past nine on the rocket clock with farmyard animals inside. Matt tells the story of 'Check Up and Away' with Ari and Alex about Nurse Jemima flying her rescue helicopter to help injured toys. Matt the Vet visits Alex who is a very hoarse horse. Through the square window, a boy Emmett discovers what it takes to be a dentist, by visiting the dentist with his father. Matt paints a tooth with white paint to show how to brush your teeth. Alex and Matt explore the wondrous workers' wardrobe to dress up as an optometrist and a ward assistant.

When I Grow Up - Wonderful Whizzes

Michelle and Teo are joined by Nate for a jobs expo, where Humpty is searching for a job. Humpty visits the weather store, building store and diving store to help decide what career he will pursue. Through the arched window we join Armani and her mother to learn all about working on a ferry. Michelle and Nate go sailing in a cardboard sailboat. Michelle dresses up as a bus driver and Teo as a lollipop person (otherwise known as a traffic control coordinator). They play with some cardboard cylinder people in a cardboard bus and explore jobs that are happening in a cardboard town. It's nine o'clock on the rocket clock with the Sun inside. With Michelle and Teo's help, Nate tells the story 'Ready, Set, Zoom at the Sunshine Room' about Kiya and Maurice inventing a Supersonic Solar Car.

When I Grow Up - Super Services

Leah and Rachael dress up as workers who provide services, Rachael as a hairdresser and Leah as a gardener. Leah draws some hats for a book called 'My Book of Hats'. Through the diamond window we join Noah at the grocery store to train as a shopkeeper, with his grandfather. Rachael needs help from a plumber, electrician and carpenter, all played by Leah. It's half past seven on the Rocket clock with a book inside full of rainbows, stars and butterflies. Rachael reads 'Guess What we are Doing Today?' by Mr Luke and illustrated by Chris Kennett. Humpty is the school librarian, and the Big Ted, Little Ted and Maurice head to the library to borrow books.

When I Grow Up - Nature Nurturers

Miah and Kaeng imagine being a National Park Ranger and a Garbage Truck Driver. Dan invents something to clean up rubbish at the beach using a potato masher, tongs and a kitchen sieve. He cleans the beach with his 'super dooper sea scooper' for the crab. Through the round window we join Freddie to take care of animals as a Zoo Keeper at Taronga Zoo. It's eleven o'clock on the rocket clock with a hat inside. Adam joins us to read his book 'Walk With Us: Welcome to Our Country' by Adam Goodes with Ellie Laing, illustrated by David Hardy. Miah dresses up as an animal welfare consultant and goes walking in the bush. She helps Kaeng who is dressed as a koala, a black glossy cockatoo, and a puppet snake. They sing 'Do the Cockatoo'.

My Place, My Home - City Living

Aka s372 Michelle and Kaeng receive a parcel from Teo with clues and souvenirs about where he and Big Ted are. Michelle scans the QR code on Teo's postcard to see a video of Teo's and Big Ted's adventure in Sydney city, taking in the amazing sights and the majestic ibis. Together with Big Ted, Teo learns about where ibis live and the food they eat from ecologist and city bird expert, Dr John. It's eight o'clock on the train clock with a parcel on the carriage. Kaeng and Michelle tell the story of Dan in the city, with the toys. Through the square window city kids show us the hustle and bustle of city life, with busy streets, parks and fun places to play all around Australia. Michelle and Kaeng build an underground train to help people get around. Michelle wears her tap shoes to sing and dance with Kaeng the busker.

My Place, My Home - Coastal Breeze

Miah waits for the post to arrive, and Matt dresses up as a postie and delivers a parcel from Teo. They scan the QR code on Teo's postcard to watch a video where Teo visits the Great Barrier Reef, learning about sea turtles, sharks and rays. With Master Reef Guide, Dustin, Teo and Jemima learn about the cultural importance these amazing animals have to Indigenous people. Matt dresses up as a sea turtle. Miah and Matt make some sea creatures from flotsam and jetsam that Teo collected. Through the arched window coastal kids show us how to splash in the surf, play in the sand and enjoy coastal life all across Australia. Matt and Miah go riding on a surfboard and boogie board. It's half past nine on the train clock with a dragonfly and wildflower on the back. Miah tells the story 'Dancing like a dragonfly' with Matt's help using Kiya and Joey to explore the wonders of the six Noongar seasons. Miah and Matt sing 'Woordawort (dragonfly)'.

My Place, My Home - Island Life

Rachael and Alex open a parcel from Teo. Teo is in the Torres Strait meeting a frill-necked lizard. Together with Kiya, Teo has a tour of Badu Island from Ranger Laurie, and Ranger Nabako introduces them to a frill-necked lizard. Uncle Charles from Mer Island in the Torres Strait teaches Alex a sitting dance 'Taba Naba' and with Rachael they make coconut milk. Through the diamond window Island kids take us across the water to explore amazing islands with sandy shores and incredible animals all around Australia. Uncle Charles shows some woven coconut leaves. Rachael, Alex and Uncle Charles weave some paper fish. It's quarter past ten on the train clock with a dinghy on the back. Alex, with help from Rachael, Uncle Charles and the toys, tells the story 'Little Ted's Shopping List' about Little Ted driving his boat between islands to shop for a big feast.

My Place, My Home - The Great Outback

Hunter arrives home to find a parcel from Teo on the doorstep. Abi and Hunter look in the parcel to find a patch with wildflowers in the sandy desert, a tinka lizard sculpture and a postcard of Uluru with a QR code on the back showing a video of where Teo is. Teo is exploring Alice Springs on Arrernte land where he meets a thorny devil, a perentie, and a woma python. At the Alice Springs Desert Park, Teo and Humpty get up close to these desert reptiles with Cultural Guide, Renate. Abi and Hunter make different animal tracks in the sand. Through the round window outback kids show us what life is like in the vast and dusty outback, with farm animals and open land across Australia. Scrap, helped by Big Ted, and Slush log on to their computers to attend school online. Owl is their teacher. It's half past eleven on the train clock with a crow on the carriage. Hunter reads 'Mrs White and the Red Desert' by Josie Boyle and illustrated by Maggie Prewett. Abi and Hunter pretend to move like the wind making dust storms in the desert.

My Place, My Home - Country Charm

Nicholas is pottering at home, when a 'drone' delivers a parcel from Teo. Miah and Nicholas open the parcel to find a a patch with wheat, a teaspoon for the teaspoons of Australia collection, a picture of a Kangaroo and a postcard with a QR code to watch the video of Teo on the ipad. Teo is in the Swan Valley on Whadjuk Noongar Land with Little Ted, making friends with kangaroos and wombats. Little Ted and Teo visit the Caversham Wildlife Park where they feed kangaroos, and wombat carer Deb introduces them to Jessie and Callie. Through the square window country kids take us on adventures and show us their homes, exploring nature all around Australia. Miah and Nicholas go camping and whip up some delicious Johnny Cakes and sing 'Home Among the Gumtrees'. It's four o'clock on the train clock with a bus on the carriage. Nicholas reads 'We Live in a Bus' by Dave Petzold. Miah and Nicholas help mayor Diddle engage Humpty, Jemima and Sam the lamb to work together to fix the Town Hall for its reopening.

Playtime with Pets - Farmyard Friends

Aka s373 Michelle and Alex are on the Play School Farm. They meet and feed a lamb, pony and chickens. Through the arched window Sebastian and Dante visit a farm where all the animals are getting a checkup from the vet, Dr Jen. They use a stethoscope to listen to the horse's heart, clip a hen's nails, and check the trotters of pigs. Michelle and Alex make craft milk bottle pigs and sock piglets. It's half past eight on the Hickory Dickory clock with a carrot, apple and hay beneath. Alex reads 'Noni the Pony' by Alison Lester, with Darcy the donkey. Michelle rides her pool noodle pony 'Agatha' and sings 'My Little Pony'. Michell helps Kiya the Vet comes for a visit to Alex and Old MacBig Ted's farm, where Henny Penny, Daisy the cow and Sam the lamb are attended to.

Guinea pigs, rats and mice are hungry for their tea. Emma and Takaya chop some fruit and vegetables to feed their little friends. Through the diamond window, kids around Australia show us their little friend pets, including birds, rats, guinea pigs and stick insects. They tell us about what they eat, how to care for them and what they love about their pets. Emma shows how to "popcorn" like a happy rat. Takaya makes craft guinea pigs using wool. It's ten o'clock on the Hickory Dickory clock with a hutch underneath. Emma and Takaya tell the story of 'Maurice's lost Guinea Pigs' with Maurice, Little Ted, Henny Penny, Scrap and the woollen guinea pigs Takaya made. Emma and Takaya sing 'Do the Piggy G'.

Abi and Teo prepare food for some lizards. They meet Errol a bearded dragon, Gidget a gidgee skink and Buggy Magoo a knob-tailed gecko. Teo dresses up as a cold-blooded lizard, and Abi helps Teo warm up on a rock in the heat of the sun. Through the round window we meet a range of scaly pets living in homes around Australia; We see the enclosures where they live and learn all about what different types of lizards and snakes need to stay happy and healthy. Abi shows how to slither like a snake, Teo makes a craft blue-tongued lizard pet from packing paper and pipe cleaners. It's quarter to eleven on the Hickory Dickory Clock with pipe cleaner flowers in a garden bed underneath the clock. Abi and Teo use the toys to tell a story about Jemima building a friendly garden for her animal friends to visit.

Emma and Rachael meet different underwater pets, from fascinating goldfish to hungry hermit crabs to an amazing axolotl. Rachael pretends to be an axolotl. Through the square window we see pets that live in water. Kids around Australia tell us about their hermit crabs, turtles, axolotls, fish and frogs, and the clean water, space and food they need to stay happy and healthy. Humpty pretends to be a hermit crab looking for a new shell from items that Big Ted, Little Ted and Maurice have at their picnic. Emma pretends to be a crab and Rachael makes a colourful fish mobile. It's twelve o'clock on the Hickory Dickory clock with aquatic plants and pebbles underneath. Emma reads 'My Pet Goldfish' by Catherine Rayner. Rachael hangs the fish mobile above the goldfish tank and then she and Emma sing 'Friends All Together'.

Playtime with Pets - Furry Friends

Cuddly kittens Holly and Patty and puppies Honey and Toffee join Kaeng and Takaya on Play School. Kaeng's dog, Loumi, visits and shows off her awesome tricks. Takaya dresses up as a cat and sings 'The Black Cat'. Through the arched window Hudson and Evie take their co-owned pet dog, Aston, to the Vet for a regular checkup to make sure he is happy and healthy. Dr Cormac checks his eyes, ears and mouth, and the kids listen to his heartbeat. Kaeng dresses up as a dog and sings 'My Little Puppy'. Takaya makes yummy dog biscuits with Kaeng's help. It's half past four on the Hickory Dickory clock with a cardboard dog bed underneath and biscuits. Kaeng reads 'Mutt Dog' by Stephen Michael King. A pet camera is used to check what Scrap and Diddle get up to when no one's home.

Make and Create - Natural Creators

Aka s374 Abi and Takaya are in The Make and Create Studio using natural materials from the Useful Box to decorate nature bags. Through the diamond window we explore the natural world of insects, animals and nature. We see termites building a mound, bees making honey, birds weaving their nest, and spectacular landmarks formed by nature itself. Abi and Takaya make a spider web with sticks and wool. Tegan helps the presenters add more feathers and leaves to the spider web from the Useful Box. It's nine o'clock on the Train Clock with a basket full of coloured grasses on the back. Tegan weaves a raffia basket for Jemima while Abi reads 'Afloat' by Kirli Saunders and illustrated by Freya Blackwood. Jemima has a sleep in her basket. Tegan helps Takaya weave a bracelet. Abi and Takaya create bird costumes from materials found in The Useful Box and make a nest out of cushions.

Emma, Kaeng and Maddie experiment with different shapes to build a colourful cardboard castle with a drawbridge. It's half past ten on the Train Clock with a crown on the carriage. Emma tells the story "Old King Slush's Castle" with Kaeng and Maddie's help using the toys. Maddie and Kaeng sing 'Friends All Together'. Emma and Maddie test a Roly Poly Musical Masterpiece. Through the round window we join Jemima and artist Lindy Lee for a tour around The National Sculpture Garden in Canberra, and we learn all about Lindy Lee's spectacular sculpture Ouroboros. Kaeng shows Emma around his spectacular sculpture garden.

Make and Create - Recycling Inventors

Teo and Alex are joined by special guest Eddie in The Make and Create Studio where they use a machine to transform recycling. They use shredded plastic to make an ice-cream scoop. Alex makes an ice-cream with cushion scoops of ice-cream in a cardboard cone. Teo and Alex makes a 'Ning Nang Nong' book from recycled materials in the Useful Box. It's half past twelve on the train clock with two teapots in the carriage. Teo reads the pop up book about 'The Ning Nang Nong'. Teo and Alex up-cycle everyday objects in the garden, planting mint in a teapot and a pansy in a gumboot. Through the arched window Zadie visits artist and fashion designer Jordan Gogos for a studio tour, where they get messy up-cycling old clothes to make them feel new and exciting to wear. Maurice hosts an up-cycled fashion show with Kiya, Humpty and Little Ted modelling clothes. 'Queen of Fashion' Jemima 'Summer' sits in the front row, sending Maurice into a nervous fit. Teo and Alex dress up in recycled fashion.

Make and Create - Crafty Artists

Rachael and Teo get creative making swirly whirly marbling patterns on paper and fabric with shaving foam, food colouring and liquid cornstarch. Teo paints a spotty swirly picture. Through the square window children from prep and Year 1 Badhulgaw Ngurpay Lag - Badu Island, delight in discovering colourful paper, bright crayons, pencils and soft fabric to make and create imaginative artworks. Rachel and Teo create a paper puppet world to sing 'If All the World Were Paper'. It's half past eleven on the train clock, with a blackboard and chalk on the back. Rachael reads 'The Concrete Garden' by Bob Graham. Teo uses the marbled fabric to make a fun hat and then Rachael, Little Ted and Maurice join him for the 'Teddy Bear Twist'.

Zindzi and Alex are decorating tucker boxes for the toys using bits and bobs from The Useful Box. Zindzi and Alex decorate a slice of sponge cake to look like a piece of watermelon. Dave showcases his cake decorating skills with a cake that looks like a pineapple. Alex hosts a baking show called 'Is that a cake I see? or are you playing a trick on me?'. Zindzi and Dave have to guess which items are cake and which are real. Through the diamond window Sofia, Antonio, and Amelia meet Jo at Pane e Prosciutto Artisan Deli where they get a fun lesson in creating delicious paninis. Zindzi makes a tortilla roll and Alex makes a sandwich roll for the tucker boxes. It's five o'clock on the train clock with a giant sandwich on the back. Alex tells the story of 'Humpty's Sandwichy Catastrophe' about Humpty's Sandwich Van which hosts a 'Build Your Own Sandwich Day'. Zindzi and Alex eat the lunches they made earlier.
