When Winston Churchill convinces the Americans they aren't yet ready to take on German forces, the Allies launch a three-pronged attack on North Africa. Patton, charged with capturing Casablanca, launches a complex, three-pronged attack of his own in which he faced face French forces allied with Germany. In the end, however, he is disappointed he didn't distinguish himself.

After American forces are overwhelmed at Kassarine Pass Patton is sent to the front to take charge. After whipping the American forces into shape and crushing an Afrika Corps surprise attack at El Guetar, Patton and the British drive the Germans from Tunisia.

After landing in Sicily and defeating the Italians Patton's forces halt a German counter attack. Then, unwilling to stand by while the British move North to Messina, Patton leads an attack and conquers Palermo then heads east to re-enforce the British still fighting for Messina.

In this campaign Patton slaps and verbally abuses soldiers complaining of battle fatigue. Finally, an amphibious flanking tactic proposed by General Lucian Truscott enables Patton's forces to capture Messina and drive the Germans from Sicily.

As the Allies finally break out of Normandy Patton regains his command now under his previous subordinate Omar Bradley. But Patton soon learns he does not agree with Bradley's tactics.
