In a series of unfortunate events - from paying off her father's gambling debts to shouldering her youngest sibling's hospital bills - Sensen becomes financially indebted to Migs. As part of their business deal, Sensen agrees to become the caregiver of Migs' senile grandfather Lolo Badong whose middle-stage dementia leads him to believe that Sensen and Migs are married. For some reason, Sensen's presence delays the symptoms of the disease attacking Lolo Badong's brain. In order to keep his grandfather happy, Migs asks Sensen to keep up the pretense of their relationship while she works off her debt. In the process, Sensen and Migs fall in love, but their relationship is challenged by Migs' gold-digging stepmother Divina and his scheming and greedy childhood admirer Trixie.
