6 Episodes 2019 - 2019
Episode 1
In episode 1 we follow the contestants in what they are going to do on the adventure. A car race from London to Mongolia, 22 000 kilometers in seven weeks. The race begins in Goodwood Motor Circuit outside of London. From here the team goes a whole week with intensive driving across Europe. It is important to get many kilometers away the first week, and the roads were so beneficial that the contestants could bring their precious time that will come back when they arrive in the countries that have bumpy (or rough?) roads. To test the strength and power of the poor vehicle, the lads take their chance to drive through Nürburgring - one of the most well-known motorsport tracks.
Episode 2
They arrive in Turkey. Here they get to experience the beautiful city, Cappadocia. The landscape here you won't find anywhere else in the world. To have a unique view over the spectacular valley they go on an air balloon trip surprisingly early in the morning. Across Armenia, the guys get met with kindness, and they get a taste of a bad road. Here they get the first step of the old Soviet, and the contestants have to sleep in a hotel where no guests have ever set place before them.
Episode 3
In episode 3 of "Over land", we join the contestants passing the border to Iran. A country that's regulated with handcuffs by the powerful government. The team visits Khaled Nabi - an interesting graveyard in the Iranian mountains that is filled with penis statues. Later the journey continues to Turkmenistan, the world's most closed country if we exclude North-Korea. The guys are very lucky to get a Visa that lasts a whole five days. First, visit the city Asjkhabad in a memorable event: A city completely covered in Italian marble from cobblestones to outdoor antennas. Later visiting at the world's biggest campfire, Door To Hell.
Episode 4
In episode 4 of "Over Land" we follow the contestants in the core of the famous Silk Roads, Uzbekistan. A country with a story going way back in time. We visit the legendary Chashma Spring in Nurota. The holy water is set to give a healing effect. On their way to the historical city Samarkand, the contestants encounter an obstacle on the road, that will be giving a difficult result in the long run. The group will probably encounter the most difficult part so far on the trip. The famous Pamir Highway. One of the highest roads with a whole 4655 meters. Testing both the human and the vehicle. It doesn't' help that the whole route that borders Afghanistan, which is known to be a turbulent area,
Episode 5
Here the contestants enter Kirgistan to take the chance to check out a traditional hunting method. Eagle hunting. Up in the mountains by the Lake Issyk-Kul, they get a demo on how they were hunting with an eagle for thousands of years ago. Further on, they start on a new country and area to cross. Kazakhstan. The world's second most isolated country. Here they visit an ancient city that at the time was Soviet's test area for nuclear weapons. Today, of course, the city is almost abandoned and the area is to this day still radioactive. The city, Semej, is a dark chapter in Soviet history that few got to experience.
Episode 6
They have now gone the whole way from Norway to Mongolia. But how is it to actually cross the whole country. A seven-day driving trip awaits the contestants er going to get to probably the world's least inhospitable place, The Gobi Desert. There are rumors that the roads they have encountered are nothing compared to what they will meet in Mongolia. Will they be able to get to Ulan Bato, or will the car give up? The lads team up with three other teams and go ours in the cold desert.
