Mongol Rally, in short, is madness set into a system on a 22 000 kilometer journey from London to Mongolia. In the cheapest car, one can find. A journey where you get to see places that few have, and experience unique and exciting cultures. What route one takes is of one's own free will, and there is no prize for the people who arrive first. Neither for the last one. Whereas the one who picks the most challenging route will be praised. "Over Land" is a TV-series in six parts that documents this. A journey through countries and cultures that is unknown to the ordinary man in the city. We follow the legendary Silk Road that Djegis Khan once traveled across. In the series, we follow three lads in their late twenties with a need to get out of dull life. This trip is an escape from reality with a difficult goal. Are they capable of driving across all 22 countries in just 7 weeks in a Skoda Fabia 1,2 Liters?

Episode 1
In episode 1 we follow the contestants in what they are going to do on the adventure. A car race from London to Mongolia, 22 000 kilometers in seven weeks. The race begins in Goodwood Motor Circuit outside of London. From here the team goes a whole week with intensive driving across Europe. It is important to get many kilometers away the first week, and the roads were so beneficial that the contestants could bring their precious time that will come back when they arrive in the countries that have bumpy (or rough?) roads. To test the strength and power of the poor vehicle, the lads take their chance to drive through Nürburgring - one of the most well-known motorsport tracks.
