Mom Larissa and and twenty-three year old daughter Amanda are best friends and drinking buddies. Both Mom and Daughter believe that Amanda is still single because it takes a special type of person to keep up with her, with Amanda admitting that another contributing factor is that she has a short attention span, she ready to move on to someone else after one date. Mom further believes that she can find the perfect guy for Amanda in that they both have the same taste, a proverbial bad boy, although such picks have not placed Amanda on good standing in her dating life. What Larissa and Carmelia have to understand is that Amanda may want that bad boy, but it is primarily the outward trappings of one and not one internally.

Son Anthony admits that he's a Mama's Boy which has been a problem in his dating life. He also admits that he and Mama Elena often butt heads in he not wanting to be fully controlled by her. Anthony's concerns with Mama finding him a date is if she will be looking for someone as her perfect future daughter-in-law as opposed to someone who is perfect as his future wife. While Elena may know her son, Anthony admits something to Carmelia that Elena doesn't know about that may give Carmelia an upper hand.

Mom Catherine thinks that twenty-seven year old daughter Katie's single and not often dating status is she being more selective as she gets older, Mom getting more desperate in wanting the grandchildren. Part of Katie's reluctance in Mom picking out a date is their differences in the type of men to who they are attracted, Katie having an aversion to "hair" in her preference for well-groomed, clean-cut men veering toward the metrosexual. Both Catherine and Carmelia decide that hair, attached to animals of the four legged variety. will play an important role in the setting up their dates for Katie. Their choices for the actual men may be counter-intuitive with respect to the hair issues, although both agree that the men they choose are very coachable as to appealing to Katie's wants.

Noolia is a wannabe wedding planner, specifically for thirty-one year old single daughter Colleen whose dating life she considers a total disaster in believing Colleen too picky especially at her stage of life when she should not only be thinking about getting married but moving out of the house. Colleen too admits that she has "standards" and wants dating to be like it was in the twentieth century where men showered their dates with flowers and chocolates. While Mom literally goes shopping for a potential date for her daughter, Carmelia believes tapping into Colleen's dating life wants will win her pick that coveted second date.

Twenty-seven year old Sebastian would like to date his BFF mother Catherine, or at least someone like her but edgier. Being an actor and model, Sebastian more often than not dates women in the business, although both he and Catherine would like someone in his life that isn't totally preoccupied with her looks as people in the business tend to be. Something that Sebastian tells Carmelia confirms that he is indeed looking for more than the superficiality of outward appearance. While Catherine ends up with a riches of choices as a potential date, Carmelia comes away from her interview with Sebastian somewhat more confused than when she walked in. However, both Carmelia and Catherine hope that an unfamiliar but interesting activity will be the appropriate showcase for her chosen date.

Corinna doesn't like that twenty-five year old daughter Letesha's best friend seems to be her own image in she being so preoccupied with her looks. But Corinna also admits that Letesha has a big heart and thus deserves to be treated like the queen that she wants. While Letesha is very opinionated including about the looks of her potential match, she does want a guy that is take charge, he who she wants to make many of the decisions in their relationship. Mom zeroes in on the physical aspects of Letesha's wanted guy in the locales she chooses to find that guy, and while she believes Carmelia may have set up a better activity for a date, Mom still thinks her guy is closer to what Letesha is looking for.
