Maxwell "Max" McGrath is thrown into a new life after moving with his mother to the small city of Copper Canyon. There he meets new friends, bullies, and super-villains hunting him down for a power inside him called TURBO Energy. Max must now join N-TEK, a secret organization his late father Jim McGrath started, to defeat Trans-Human Industries from taking over the world with their sinister leader Miles Dredd and his evil Elementors. Max's powers are hidden from the public and regulated with the aid of his friend Steel, who is a known as an Ultra-Link (later revealed to be an alien species), to prevent his powers from going critical. During battle, Steel transforms into Max's multiple armors for whatever terrain battle is present. Along the way, with the aid of N-TEK led by Max's uncle Ferrus, both will uncover the mystery behind Steel's past, find out what really happened to Max's father, Jim McGrath and uncover the dark secrets of N-Tek. Until they witnessed the Makino Invasion.

Max and Steel are proud of their performance in simulation and doubt Forge's urging that Max must tap into his 'greatest power', as even Berto doubts if Makino is still preparing an invasion, as sky surveillance shows no intrusion. Only Kirby wraps up in aluminum all over, even as underwear. However a meteor shower serves as cover for four UltraLinks to be delivered to Dredd, who links three to creatures or machines to turn them into killers, unleashed on Copper Canyon. Max fights them well with Berto's latest weapon, an electric lash, but soon is occupied with the arrival of another alien in a super-fast spacecraft, called Ven-Ghan, who declares to be an enemy of Makino and all UltraLinks, except the 'rehabilitated' trio in his service, and refuses to spare Steel, who is clearly no match for him.

Disney XD is giving kids tons of action-packed reasons to say indoors this summer with the network's most ambitious programming slate yet. The young, male-driven network will unveil a slew of series and specials this season including Marvel's Avengers Assemble, premiering Sunday July 7, and Marvel's Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., premiering Sunday, Aug. 11. First Look: Disney XD's Max Steel

Coming to Disney XD later this month, Max Steel tells the story of teenager Maxwell McGrath and his alien companion, Steel. Max has a super strength secret: Turbo energy. And Steel possesses alien intellect. Combined, they become the ultimate superhero. Disney XD ordered 26 episodes of Max Steel, a Mattel property based on a line of action figures first introduced in 1999. Disney XD premieres Max Steel on Monday, March 25 at 4/3c. Here's a sneak peek trailer, directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy) and scored by DJ Cole Plante (TRON: Uprising).
