The Chechen terrorists now demonstrate their ability to murder by-passers in LA with it unless their boss is released. While the prosecutor is closing in on him, martin resorts to plain torture as well as turning Ana against the master fiend, with a bloody aftermath once they disclosed the whereabouts of the the VX.

While his team finds out the think tank Zrcadia, which meanwhile cuts loose ends bloodily, was behind the affair as well as Verax and gets his boss to admit Martin Odum is a legend created for him after Iraq on top-secret order from the very top.
