Sam Conway is an adolescent boy with a particular affection for animals. When taken to his first hunting trip by his domineering father and his older brother, Sam refuses to shoot a rabbit. He is consequently insulted by his brother, and treated as a failure by his father. Following his return to school, teachers notice anal bleeding from Sam. They report the case to the police, and a rape kit determines that he was raped. Sam refuses to name his rapist, but his mother reports that Sam's father uses anal rape in order to discipline and humiliate Sam. The case goes to trial, but Sam refuses to testify against his father and the case collapses. The abusive father is vindicated in court.

He tries to prove at court that the parenting style of John Conway, and the glorification of violence and aggression in his lectures to his sons were the reason that Sam became a criminal. Rollins is pregnant again and is considering an abortion, fearing that she will give birth to a criminal. Benson learns that her son has violent tendencies, particularly when he is angry.

The police realize that "Sophie" and "Grace" are different personalities of the same woman, each with its own set of memories. The SVU has to find out what traumatic event triggered the emergence of separate personalities in the woman, and who had victimized her in the first place.

When the murder case goes to trial, ADA Stone tries to "prove" than Anne is faking mental instability. Anne commits suicide shortly after the trial.

The SVU investigates a report that Andrew raped one of his waitresses, and discover that he has been accused of three previous rapes. All the cases were dismissed by ADA Hodges, who supposedly found that the victims were not credible enough. The investigators found this suspicious, since Hodges is an expert in rape cases and there were sufficient evidence to win this case. They start investigating Hodges himself, and realize that Hodges and Liebowitz used to be close friends and classmates. Further, they get reports that Hodges himself had raped a girl in his high school days, and that Liebowitz was a witness to that rape. The police try to cause the two men to turn on each other, in hopes of using their testimonies in a trial.

Twelve years ago, ADA Stone took part in a party with several friends. He was romancing a woman he had just met, but he apparently passed out drunk and then woke up alone in his bedroom. In the present, the woman first claims that Stone raped her during that party, and then that Stone is the father of her daughter. Stone starts a police investigation against himself, though both Stone and the victim only have partial memories of that night. There are no forensic evidence in this case, but there is at least one more suspect for the rape. A paternity test reveals that Stone is not biologically related to his supposed daughter.
