This being the fifth-to-last episode before the Late Night set is disposed of, Conan uses an ax to chop a piece of wood from the set to give to an audience member. Conan shows a selection of unusual channels from satellite television. Bob Saget promotes his new television series, "Surviving Suburbia." Conan shows a clip of himself and Max going to get a beer after a show. Thenewno2 perform the song "Yomp."

Conan shows a clip from "The Colbert Report" where Stephen Colbert claims to have stolen Conan's "string dance" in which he dances as if he were being manipulated by strings like a puppet. Colbert then shows up on stage and he and Conan have a string dance-off, which Colbert wins. Conan shows a clip from 2005 in which he goes birdwatching. This being the fourth-to-last episode, Conan chops two more pieces of wood from the set to give to audience members. Conan freezes the Masturbating Bear (who will not be allowed on "The Tonight Show") in carbonite to preserve him for future generations, but Carrie Fisher shows up and helps the bear escape. In a spoof of a YouTube video, a Chinese woman becomes hysterical upon learning that Conan's show is soon to end. Conan shows a montage of clips of announcer Joel Godard. Conan shows a clip of himself target shooting with Hunter S. Thompson. Guest Jason Sudeikis shows a montage of his own appearances on "Late Night." An appearance of the "No Reason to Live Guy" is shown during the closing credits.

During the monologue, Mayor Michael Bloomberg shows up to recognize Conan's 16 years in New York by presenting him with a key, not to the city, but to the Port Authority men's room. Conan shows a 2002 clip of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog interviewing "Star Wars" fans in line to see "Attack of the Clones." This being the third-to-last episode, Conan removes La Bamba's podium from the set to present to an audience member. Martha Stewart shows up and Conan shows a clip of his visit to Martha's house. Nathan Lane, accompanied by Marc Shaiman on piano, sings a parody of "My Way" as a tribute to Conan. Conan shows a collection of bloopers from the series. Conan shows a montage of sketches involving robots, bears, and Abraham Lincoln. As the show ends, Conan chops up more of the set to give pieces to audience members.

Conan demolishes another piece of the set and has it taken backstage to be cut up and distributed to the audience. Will Ferrell enters as George W. Bush and praises Conan, then strips down to a leprechaun outfit. Conan shows a clip of a practical joke on Andy Richter, and then Andy himself shows up. Conan shows a montage of comedic moments from the show and then another one. The White Stripes perform the song "We're Going to Be Friends." Conan thanks the staff and crew, the Max Weinberg 7, Joel Godard, the writers, Lorne Michaels, key people at NBC, David Letterman, Jay Leno, the people of New York City, executive producer Jeff Ross, his wife and children, his parents, his brother, and the audience.
