The officers from the big city police station are investigating a real "madhouse". The majority of its residents are rather unusual. Therese Tramkvinn, an unsuccessful actress, beats her ex Fynn. Daughter Yelena sees no other way out than to call the police for help. The mother's new boyfriend, the petty criminal "Juanito", has little to offer other than a big mouth. Fynn's mother also gets involved: she calls her son an "idiot" because, as a Buddhist, he puts up with everything because of his karma. In the "madhouse" the threads come together to form a tangle of crimes, intrigues and lies that the investigators from PK 14 are trying to unravel. Meanwhile, Hannes Krabbe is eagerly awaiting police officer Jessy Jahnke at the police station. She will step in for Nina Sieveking, who is recovering from a serious gunshot wound. Jessy's start is not a good one: instead of a welcoming speech, after a few minutes she gets her first lecture from Mrs Küppers.

When Lukas Petersen and Jessy Jahnke catch Michelle during an attempted robbery, Susanne almost thinks her daughter is lost. Because it was not her first robbery. Only Jessy senses that something or someone else must be behind it. She believes that gangster rapper Faoud is blackmailing the student. Harry Möller and Piet Wellbrook have to take care of a much older problem child: Zacharias "Zappa" Martens used to be a musician, even in a support act for the Beatles. He has a guitar shop in the neighborhood where Piet used to work. Zappa's life is rock 'n' roll - in every way. When he is brought to the police station, drunk and beaten up, the ghosts of the past cause great unrest in Piet's head.

He is a cleaner in an event location where adventure seekers can book "escape rooms". To escape, the trapped visitors have to solve puzzles. But Meik would much rather be a policeman than a cleaner. And so he lures Daniel and Jessy into a trap, steals the patrol car and drives to his first real mission in a fake uniform. He happens to meet the wanted drug dealer "The Snowman". The situation escalates and puts Harry Møller and Piet Wellbrook's lives in danger.
