Nigel Mansell became the first driver to win a race in a car with a semi-automatic gearbox.
Episode 2
Senna overtook Prost and won. Senna reneged on a non-overtaking agreement after the restart. Berger's car speared off the track, hit the wall and it immediately burst into flames. Marshals put the fire out 26 seconds later.

Thierry Boutsen's first victory, the first victory for a Belgian driver since the 1972 German Grand Prix with Jacky Ickx.
Episode 7
The 80-lap race was won from pole position by Alain Prost. The March of Mauricio Gugelmin went sideways into Thierry Boutsen's Williams and catapulted into the air. The race was red-flagged and the race was restarted half an hour later.

Satoru Nakajima and Nelson Piquet failure to qualify, the first time in the Lotus team's history that neither of its cars had qualified.

On lap 44 the engine in Senna's McLaren comprehensively blew up going and so Alain Prost inherited the victory.

Gerhard Berger surged to victory in the Portuguese Grand Prix. Ayrton Senna retired following a collision with Nigel Mansell three laps after the Briton had received a disqualification for reversing in the pit lane.
Episode 14
The 73-lap race was won from pole position by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost was third. Nigel Mansell was banned from the race and fined $50,000 following his disqualification and collision with Senna in the previous race.
Episode 15
Senna is disqualified for cutting through a chicane after a crash with Prost and Prost is World Champion for the third time.
