Formula One (also Formula 1 or F1 and officially the FIA Formula One World Championship) is the highest class of single-seat auto racing that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The FIA Formula One World Championship has been the premier form of racing since the inaugural season in 1950. The "formula", designated in the name, refers to a set of rules, to which all participants' cars must conform. The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (from French, meaning grand prizes), held worldwide on purpose-built F1 circuits and public roads.

III United States Grand Prix 1960

The final race of the season is in the United States and had a total of 23 racers. This Grand Prix was the first one to have very low spectators, but the race would be entertaining enough for it to pass. Best off the line was Jack Brabham, immediately launching into the lead of the race, while home hero Dan Gurney slotted into second and put pressure onto the Australian from the outset. The beginning also showed a lot of crashes, problems and drama, ( due to how bumpy the circuit is ), it would soon calm down. The race would however show many crashes and lots of bad stuff, it was a weird and bumpy race. Won by Moss with a time of: 2:28:52.2.
