In 1984, a serial killer has been on the loose in Florida, he has killed and sexually assaulted eight women. But Lisa McVey, a rape victim survivor, is able to assist the police on apprehending Bobby Joe Long by placing her fingerprints in the bathroom of his apartment. Long was finally arrested and he pleaded guilty for the eight murders of the women including the two murders of the women the police did not know about. Long was sentenced to death to all ten murders of the women.

Four-hundred-thousand people developed a serious gastrointestinal illness, 4,000 were hospitalized and, by the time the epidemic was under control, more than 100 people were dead. Health officials suspected it was influenza, but it proved to be more serious and more difficult to identify.
