The guys are beginning to understand that one small mistake could mean the end of their journey as being on top one week does not necessarily mean that they can't be in the bottom the following week. For the Festive Faceoff, they are provided the basic structure and all the accountrements in being asked to decorate a gingerbread house, both the craft of the decoration and the story behind the decoration to show another side of their personality the criterion used in judging. And for the Star Quality challenge, they are again thrown into an acting scene, this time with Hallmark star Alison Sweeney. While as usual they need to connect with her in the scene, it is another "actor" in the scene which may be the most challenging aspect of what they are asked to do.

The guys will have to battle an icy hill in the Festive Faceoff. The uphill portion, which they will have to tackle three times to succeed, ends up being much slipperier than they had imagined. They will then enter into a pageant for the Star Quality Challenge, they competing in two separate but equally important components of pageants, a talent portion and the proverbial "world peace" question portion. The pageant will demonstrate just how important the Hallmark fan base is to the competition and to Hallmark as a company. The guys have another physical challenge for the Festive Faceoff in they each needing to knock down six Christmas trees, the winner being the one who does so the fastest. The catches?: they must knock down only those color coded as their own with any that they knock down of a competitor counting as one for said competitor, and they are moving around the course within a giant clear plastic Christmas ornament. And they have another acting scene for the Star Quality Challenge, this time acting alongside Hallmark star Hunter King. However, it will be a group scene with three of them not only acting together, but, given a basic script, they must also choose among themselves who will play which character, block out the scene within a set, and convey their intentions to Hunter beforehand.

The guys have to channel their best rendition of the traditional carol "Silent Night" for the Festive Faceoff. Individually, they will enter a silent room where they have to place a sack full of Christmas gifts under the Christmas tree on the far side of the room proverbially on Christmas Eve night. The winner will be the one who does so with the fewest penalties, one penalty for each sound they make, the room booby-trapped with one potential noise maker after another. And while they have had to do acting scenes before for the Star Quality Challenge, this one will be slightly different in that unlike all the previous ones being at the start of the relationship with the leading lady, it will take place mid-script where there is already an established history between the characters, and the scene mid-date on a picnic. While they are given a script, they will have the ability to ad-lib to insert other items they feel may work for the scene, either having that off-script idea in their head beforehand or doing it impromptu feeding off what is given to them by their acting partner, Ashley Williams.
