Fantasy Island is a unique resort in the Pacific Ocean, where there is very little that the mysterious overseer, Mr. Roarke (Ricardo Montalban), cannot provide. Visitors can experience adventures that should be impossible, but this island can deliver. However, what actually happens is often far more than they expect as they face challenges that test their character in ways they never imagined.

Exclusive: Malcolm McDowell to Guest-Star on The Mentalist

We see a serious bad guy in Patrick Jane's future: Malcolm McDowell will guest-star on an upcoming episode of The Mentalist, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.McDowell, best known for playing nihilist Alex in A Clockwork Orange, will play the leader of a twisted religious cult in which Jane (Simon Baker) gets entangled. Series creator Bruno Heller describes the character as a "great heavy.""He seems to have his sinister tentacles in every pie, which is really mixing horrible metaphors, but he's that kind of guy," Heller tells TVGuide.com with a laugh. "We're very lucky to get someone as great as Malcolm McDowell to play that."McDowell, who recently starred in Rob Zombie's two Halloween reboots, recurred on Heroes as the mysterious Linderman during the first three seasons and on Entourage as Ari Gold's former mentor/nemesis Terrence. Eddie Murphy is set to star in a family-oriented big-screen adaptation of TV's Fantasy Island, filling (much to SAG's consternation, I always imagine) multiple roles.... Also per the Hollywood Reporter, Tim Roth is in talks to play Emil Blonsky/The Abomination to Edward Norton's Incredible Hulk.... Matthew Perry and Hilary Swank star in the indie comedy Laws of Motion, playing a harried husband and his all-too-perfect neighbor.... Honey, I Shrunk T.J. Hooker and Blair Warner!

Sony is retooling episodes from its classic television library into 3-1/2 to 5-minute "minisodes" which will initially be available on the company's web-based Minisode Network launching this summer on MySpace. Thus far, Reuters reports, more than 300 minisodes — each one condensing but covering a complete story arc from within the full-length episode — have been produced from such shows as T.J. Hooker, Charlie's Angels, Facts of Life and Fantasy Island (as if Tattoo could get much smaller).
