Lynn Holt is a lawyer who works with her husband. She goes into the office and finds that it's been stripped bare by her husband, who has moved into a new office, and most of the staff is gone. Only Danni Lipton remains. She sets out to rebuild her life. She takes in two lawyers, ambulance-chaser Rex Weller and Randi King, a spitfire who was convicted of killing her abusive husband but studied law in prison and got her conviction overturned. Lynn's first client is a former drug addict who's trying to regain her children.
