Ebichu is a mischievous hamster with a penchant for cheese and for taking care of her owner, a single lady with a layabout boyfriend. Ebichu does the cooking, cleaning, even the relationship counseling, when her owner, a 25-year-old woman who wants more than anything to get married, has a rough spot with her boyfriend, Kaishounachi (which literally means "useless"). Ebichu sounds like a dream come true until she starts telling strangers the contents of her owner's underwear drawer and poking her cute little nose where it doesn't belong. Who knew a cute little hamster could have such a dirty little mind!

Two middle-age crazy English widows become best friends via letters, over many misadventure-filled years. Having met under a table at a wedding, when both were drunk with merriment, misunderstanding comes naturally to them. The ladies and their kin act out the events in the letters: in their homes, prison or wherever else they land, revealing the hilarious, venomous, or empathetic truth, between their ever-increasing lines. Based on a 13 year long BBC 4 radio series.
