Drovers' Gold

  • 1997-1997
  • 1 season
  • Drama

A couple of broken and cheated Welsh families decide that, in order to live, they need to drive their cattle beasts to London for the best price. There's an evil landholder that wants to kick everyone out of the valley to see the good families starve and go to workhouses. His conniving treachery enables several issues to arise while the fellows and a few more travelers in their party attempt to persevere. Other topics such as cattle plague, cholera outbreaks, punishment for driving cattle on a Sunday, and other interesting issues are just a fraction of what six episodes will bring you. Highlights on this adventure are horses and a young Ray Stevens without a shirt on.
