She meets the team of one veteran musher whose dogs will soon be pulling a sled, and later checks out a former champion sled dog with some grave-looking tumors. On race day, Michelle has her hands full. From a dog with a swollen paw to a dehydrated pup with a racing heart rate, she has several cases that test her skills.

Back in the home clinic, Dr. Oakley reunites with a Lab named Rose for a checkup and what she finds worries her.
