Episode 1

Accompanied by Mike, GaTa and a culturally appropriate intern/translator named Dan, Dave is on a promotional trip to Seoul to hype his upcoming album, for which he is working on the finishing touches on the songs. The trip is largely to capitalize on the whole K-Pop phenomenon, he to film the video for his song from the album "I Took a Shit in Korea" on the streets of Seoul with K-Pop sensation CL. Largely due to the cultural divide, Dave, Mike, GaTa and Dan run into one problem after another which threatens their careers and in some cases lives. These problems are only exacerbated by each of the four having a different priority on which fire is the most important to put out.

Episode 2

The record label has provided Dave with a luxurious house to be able to work on the record without distraction. While GaTa hangs out taking advantage of certain freebies provided by the label or Dave, Mike can see that Dave is using any excuse to explain away why he isn't getting work done. Those excuses are neutralized by the new liaison for the record label, who forces Dave into a corner to make some key decisions. But when Elz returns to town, the key issue of distraction in Dave's current life comes to the forefront.

Dave and Benny embark on a bromance, the somewhat non-sexual albeit intimate nature of it going far beyond any of the unusual things Dave and Mike have ever done. GaTa is encouraged not to take his association with Dave to the permanent level he was contemplating, although he and his bro Tone do take Dave and Benny up on their offer to make it a foursome gathering despite Tone's reluctance due to questioning both the sincerity of the invitation and GaTa's friendship with Dave and Benny. Their foursome brings into question the underlying forces behind what each is wanting or willing to do within their friendships. In the process, Dave makes a decision to rekindle a past relationship. Meanwhile, Mike, alone at the house on what should be a festive day for him, has felt increasingly distanced from Dave ever since he became Dave's manager. He takes his anger to the next level in dealing with an unknown neighbor he is calling The Observer.

Episode 4

Mike, GaTa and Dave all have opportunities to expand their professional horizons. Mike has started managing the Stone Twins, TikTok stars whose fame is through punking people. GaTa has been offered an audition to compete on Rhythm + Flow (2019). And having even forgot that he wrote the song since it was a year and a half ago, Dave learns from Mike that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has heard the song Dave wrote about him and thus wants to meet him. Dave wants to use that meeting to smash through the crack in the door that he has made with Ally in rekindling at least a friendship if not more. While things don't quite go the way that either Mike or GaTa had envisioned with their respective ventures, Dave is already starting to freak out before anything even happens with Kareem. Dave's initial joy in meeting a celebrity the caliber of Kareem changes to fear in believing that Kareem the activist is out to get him for misappropriation of the black experience.

Mike has arranged for Dave and by association Elz to perform at a bar mitzvah, they needing to scope out the house where the event is being held the day before to set up. Beyond Mike's own actions as manager to promote the act, Dave and Elz's current strained relationship stemming from Dave's reluctance to give Elz the public performing credit he desires has the potential to overtake the event. As he isn't required at the event, GaTa has an evening to do what he wants. While the evening starts out promising, it slowly devolves into a Murphy's Law of an evening into the next day, that is until.

Episode 6

Dave has started using an exclusive dating app for famous, successful and/or beautiful people. He ends up making a connection almost simultaneously with two people. He first makes a date for this evening with a beautiful woman named Sadie. She takes a back seat when he is contacted on the app by Doja Cat. When he is pretty certain that he has secured a date with Doja Cat, their online interaction leading up to the date confirmation which became increasingly suggestive, Dave places Sadie on the sideline giving her a flimsy excuse to break their date. It becomes a dance of technology as both Dave and Doja Cat have a day filled with other responsibilities, while they, but Dave in particular, try to maintain regular online contact, Dave to ensure the date happens.

Episode 7

Emma is the cameraperson for the Q+A segment of a promotional video being shot with a group of five rappers, Dave and four of his true contemporaries, for an event. What happens individually to Emma and Dave this day hearkens back to their time working together for the ad agency, specifically when they were stuck in billboard purgatory and then given their first opportunity to work on a television commercial account, it when the thought of being a rapper was still in its infancy in Dave's mind.

Episode 8

In a situation that also threatens Mike's livelihood, Dave is forced to move out of his house. Where he ends up moving to is his parents'. While Mike, for his own benefit, tries to rectify the situation that led to Dave needing to move, Dave will discover that he is looking at his personal relationships through somewhat selfish rose-colored glasses, most specifically with his parents and with his renewed friendship with Ally.

Dave journeys to a legendary recording studio, hoping to break through his creative block but is forced to confront his greatest obstacle: his own ego.
