After performing the traditional pairs dances each couple chooses a second pro to perform with them in the trio dance. Leah, Tony and Henry parody the judges; Carrie Ann, Bruno and Len.

The Semifinals

For the semifinals the six couples perform two dances to two different versions of the same song in an evening heavy with tangos. Maks returns as a guest judge.

Two-Night Finale: First Night

Kellie Pickler returns as a quest performer. Contestants perform a ballroom dance that they previously struggled with, a samba relay with TLC performing their music and the no-holds-barred freestyle. Couples choose the fusion dances for the season finale. One couple is eliminated.

Grand Finale

The three finalists have one last chance to impress the judges in the fusion dance before the Season 17 champion is announced. All the season 17 couples have a last opportunity to perform. Elvis an the season's contestants perform to "What Does the Fox Say?." Guest performers include Enrique Iglesias, Paula Calais and Lady Antebellum.
