Love Boat Angels

With Sabrina having left the employ of the agency to enter into wedded bliss, Charlie hires Tiffany Welles, a recent Boston Police Academy graduate and the daughter of a very old friend, as Sabrina's replacement. The first case on which Tiffany will be working as an Angel is for Eastern International Insurance represented by their chief investigator, Mr. Avery, to solve the brazen hijacking of one of Wellington Museum's transport vans en route from Los Angeles Harbor to the museum in Los Angeles, $5 million worth of gold and bronze statuary stolen in the process. Avery knows that the mastermind behind the theft is Paul Hollister and his associate Wes Anderson, who met in Vietnam when they were respectively a US Navy fighter pilot turned war photojournalist and peace corps worker. Avery also knows that the merchandise will be fenced by Eleanor Case, once a respected art historian. The case takes Avery and the Angels aboard the Pacific Princess cruising from Los Angeles to St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands, the cruise where Hollister and Anderson are passengers, while Bosley remains in Los Angeles to monitor the movements of Case. The agency's task is not so much to arrest Hollister but find where the merchandise is to save the insurance company $5 million on Wellington's insurance claim. One of the Angels has to get to know Hollister, that decision, made by Hollister himself, being Kris. Beyond the known dangers of the case, other issues arise which complicate matters: the Angels have to figure out who the three men on board the ship are, they who are making Hollister nervous; they needing to deal with a less than easy going Avery, who is quick to point blame to the Angels whenever things don't go according to plan; and Kris' strong and growing attraction to Hollister. That attraction includes knowing that he did humanitarian work before turning to a life of crime.

Angels Go Truckin'

The agency is "hired" by Maggie Brill, an old acquaintance of Charlie's. Maggie operates Venus Trucking based in Greensboro, Oklahoma, she who only hires female truckers to drive her rigs. On one of her latest contracts for Fairbridge Drugs to transport $1 million worth of pharmaceuticals from a Fairbridge facility in Harristown, the rig ended up back at the Venus garage filled with sandbags and no pharmaceuticals, despite Maggie's two girls having checked the cargo before leaving Harristown. They only made two stops along the way - one to help a disabled truck as one of the rules of the road is never to leave a fellow trucker stranded, and the other for a twenty minute lunch at a truck stop - neither time long enough for the cargo to be unloaded and the fake cargo loaded. Kelly is to go undercover to work as a waitress at the truck stop, while Kris and Tiffany go to truck driving school before they begin to work for Maggie. Charlie, covering the bond for the cargo, is able to convince Fairbridge to enter into another contract with Venus to transport the exact same cargo on the exact same route, with Kris and Tiffany this time behind the wheel. The thieves could be anyone of the regulars at the truck stop including Walt the truck stop manager, or Bingo, a hulking good ol' boy who is prone to fighting. The theft could also be an inside job, with the primary suspect within Venus being Bobby Lee, one of the mechanics. As Kris and Tiffany try to look for any similarities to the trip when the first cargo was stolen, the Angels may get some help through Kelly's quick friendships at the truck stop, and Kris' legion of followers on the CB radio, she known as Angel Eyes.

Kelly is the maid of honor at the wedding of her best friend from high school, upper crust Sharon Kellerman who is marrying ex-world class skier Scott Miller, the two who were introduced to each other by Sharon's cousin, Claudia Harper, one of Sharon's bridesmaids. The wedding will take place on the vast Kellerman estate with all the guests staying at the estate. Sharon confides in Kelly that three recent attempts thus far have been made on Scott's life, she, without telling anyone else, ultimately hiring the agency to find out who is behind the murder attempts. Although Sharon and Kelly don't want to believe he would be capable of such, Sharon's boyfriend from high school, Randy Todd - Sharon and Randy who were once engaged - becomes the prime suspect. Randy probably still loves Sharon, but came back from Vietnam emotionally scarred, making many believing him crazy. Regardless, Sharon and Scott, in trying to maintain an air of civility and true friendship, have hired Randy to be their wedding photographer. Beyond Kelly who will have an inside view to the proceedings, Tiffany and Bosley go undercover to "work" the wedding, while Kris investigates Scott to discover if there is anything in his background that would make someone want to kill him. This part of the investigation includes checking on his business partners in the sporting goods retail business, his current partner in Los Angeles being Burt Marshall, while his former business partner in Aspen is Richard Guzman, who has not been invited to the wedding.

Fallen Angel

The Agency is hired by Michael Leone, cousin to famed opera diva Carla Leone, to protect her and prevent the theft of her Blue Heron diamond, which she intends to wear at an upcoming Los Angeles performance. Carla, in turn, is undeterred in having a rather unique and what she considers foolproof means of security for the diamond. The issue is that long suspected but never caught brazen daytime only cat burglar Damien Roth - coined the Ice Cat in his penchant for diamonds - is known to have arrived in town. Roth, who is heir to his own fortune, runs within the jet set as a Renaissance Man, hobnobbing with the people from who he steals, none of them willing to accuse him. The Angels may have their work cut out for them in getting close to Roth as he is not only a purported recluse, but is impervious to the charms of the opposite sex. Indeed, the Angels discover that he has no time for any of the three of them, but Kelly discovers further that it may be because he has already fallen for the woman of his dreams. The problem in Kelly's discovery is that woman is someone close to the Agency who they know and love, and she may or may not know into what she is getting in being involved with Roth, especially as she seems also to know and is as equally friendly with Michael Leone.

When some security respond to an alarm, they walk in on a robbery and shoot one of the robbers. The one who's shot is a woman who's suppose to be in prison. Her father hires Charlie to find out what happened. He claims she shouldn't have been in prison, it seems her ex promised he would send money for their child but didn't send anything and she wrote checks that were no good. He thinks someone in the prison forced her to join the robbery, it seems the guy she was dating worked at the place that was robbed. So one of the girls has to undercover in the prison as an inmate and Kris offers to be the one. And upon arriving, the big cheese sets her sights on her.

The agency is hired by a Mr. Harkins to investigate a pair of assaults on his young adult daughter, Judy Harkins, a bit of a wallflower with who he operates a struggling music and dance conservatory. Judy was beaten by the same man twice in two separate incidents, he who she doesn't know, and he in the process speaking about things that made no sense to her. The latest incident took place just outside the conservatory as Judy went out to pick up lunch for her father and herself at nearby Georgia's, a hamburger joint. Because Judy is too scared to talk any more about the incident, Charlie suggests that the Angels go undercover as new students at the conservatory to befriend Judy and gain her confidence, that latter issue which they soon discover will not be easy. As they begin the case, they also find out that what happens in the neighborhood is controlled by a violent pimp named Freddie Jefferson, many of his girls who take respite at Georgia's. As such, Kelly and Tiffany change their undercover identities to the more dangerous ones of trying to enter Freddie's realm as two of his girls. One of his current girls, a brash redhead named Rose, seems to have a special hate for Judy. The key to finding out what is going on may be the reason for the animosity Rose has for Judy. Mr. Harkins, in a word to Kris, may be able to provide a key to that reason.

The Prince and the Angel

While Jill and Kelly are shopping at a menswear store for birthday presents for Charlie - Jill who came back to town specifically for a party the Angels and Bosley are throwing for Charlie - Jill is picked up by the good looking store owner, a man named Eric. In going on a date with Eric, Jill, although attracted to him, can see that there is something odd about him, he's not familiar with many western customs and well-known American slang. What Jill also notices is that they are being followed by a man driving a blue Ford sedan, and that Eric has two other men shadowing him who look like they are protecting him, albeit not very effectively. What Eric tells her - which is the truth but is told in such a way to be a joke so that Jill would not truly believe it - is that he does not own the store, but is really a crown prince of a small monarchy visiting the US incognito. The reason for his incognito visit is that attempts have been made on his life back home, his father who has sent him away temporarily until he can find out who is trying to kill him. What Eric may or may not be aware is that the man in the blue sedan is a hit man, the murder attempts having followed him to the US. This situation may place Jill's life in danger as well as associated collateral, especially as those trying to kill the Prince learn that Jill is a former private detective.

To immerse Tiffany into Southern Californian life, Kelly and Kris decide that something she has to do is roller skate on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Kelly and Kris have hired their friend, Kenny Daniels, to be Tiffany's skating instructor, he, who along with his partner Rita Morgan, are sure to win the $30,000 grand prize at the upcoming roller disco contest at Fortune's Roller Rink, owned by Freddie Fortune. Following Kenny and Rita performing an exhibition on the boardwalk, Rita, who seems a little camera shy, is abducted by two unknown men in a brown van. Despite what Kelly, Kris and Tiffany saw, the police will not investigate largely because there is no such person as Rita Morgan according to their records. As such, Kelly, Kris and Tiffany convince Charlie and Bosley to work on this case pro bono knowing that Kenny could not afford to pay. While Kris is to stay close to Kenny which means spending time at Fortune's where Kenny works, Kelly, Tiffany and Bosley are to go undercover to hang out with the Venice Beach roller skating crowd. Beyond Rita's former partner Reggie Martin as a possible suspect, the Angels and Bosley first have to discover who Rita Morgan really is.

The agency is hired by the alumni association of Kappa Omega Psi's Whitley College chapter - Tiffany's old sorority and alma mater - as two of the sorority members have gone missing in the last two weeks. With no ransom notes, the two could have left on their own volition, however Charlie does not want the Angels to rule out the old fashioned crime of white slavery as the reason behind their disappearance. Tiffany is to return to the sorority to act as big sister to the current crop of members, while Kris is to go undercover as a coed. Tiffany finds that life at Whitley and at Kappa have not changed in many ways including the rivalry with Pi Nu (Kappa being the beauty and brains, with Pi being the brawn), Ms. Barbara Kay being Kappa's house mother, and Willemena Campbell being the college librarian. What has also not changed is coed crushes on their professors, the object of most girl's affection being Dr. James Fairgate, the two missing girls who were in his English class. However, Dr. Fairgate has a reputation for often returning that affection. As such, he becomes a key suspect. Also on the suspect list are: fellow student Richard Milligan, the older boyfriend of the second missing girl, Jenny Thomas, with he purportedly the last person to see her before she went missing; and Steve Fitzpatrick, the school jock who coasts in his classes knowing the professors cannot fail him, the brother of one of Kappa's pledges, Nikki Fitzpatrick, and one of the people involved in the Kappa/Pi rivalry he falling squarely in the Pi camp.

Angel Hunt

The Angels, together at the beach by Kris' house on their day off, receive an emergency telephone call from Charlie telling them to go to Diablo Island thirty minutes off the coast of Mazatlan immediately where he and Bosley will meet them. The issue for the Angels is is that the telephone call was not from Charlie, and was a ruse to lure them to Mexico. They discover that they have been duped when their guide, a Mr. Wilson, abandons them on the seemingly deserted island with only the clothes on their backs. Meanwhile, the first signs that Charlie and Bosley receive that something is wrong is when the Angels don't show up for a scheduled meeting at the office. They eventually receive a "ransom" telephone call from the plot mastermind, Malcolm Case, who recently escaped from prison where he was placed largely by Charlie's investigative work eleven years ago. Case threatens to kill the Angels one per day unless Charlie and Bosley can find them. Beyond the threat from Case and his men, the Angels also have to be concerned about the wild animals that populate the island. But Case getting Charlie is still his ultimate goal.

Cruising Angels

Charlie, through the company, has just purchased a yacht, rechristened the Wayward Angel, with custom interior modifications done by the selling agent, Pat Justice. Bosley and the Angels have a few days with the yacht before it gets transported to the Caribbean, Pat having hired a Captain Webner on behalf of Bosley for the company for the transport job. Bosley is hoping he can use the yacht for a good part of that time as he and Pat have built up more than just a professional rapport. Bosley's plans are partly dashed when after his and Pat's onshore date, they return to the marina to find the yacht missing. And just as Bosley is trying to figure what he is going to tell Charlie about losing the yacht, it mysteriously gets returned back to its slip in the marina. The only clues he and the Angels have to go on are some blood stains, a scratched exterior and knowing that the yacht was gone for exactly forty-five minutes. Eventually, they also discover some other items left on the yacht presumably by whoever took it out. If they can tie together the blood with the other items left aboard, they may piece together the entire story, but which may ultimately place them in the middle of warring factions of the smuggling of about $5 million worth of stolen goods.

Of Ghosts and Angels

The Angels accept the invitation of Erica and Clifford Burke - Tiffany's longtime friend and her newlywed sportswear designer husband - to spend a few days with them at their Victorian mansion culminating with a lavish costume party, it a chance for Tiffany to catch up with Erica who she hasn't seen in three years, and to meet Cliff. Erica had always been shy around men who she was never sure were interested in her or her money - she being an heiress - but has now obviously broken out of her shell, especially in not needing to worry about Cliff, who entered the marriage with his own wealth as seen by the mansion which he bought over twenty years ago, it complete with his longtime faithful servants, Mr. and Mrs. Craig, the caretaker and housekeeper respectively. In arriving at the mansion on her own with Kelly and Kris arriving a day later to give her some alone time with Erica, Tiffany finds elements of the mansion which mimic a recurring nightmare she has recently been having, those elements being details of the actual setting down to the antique clock on the wall which has stopped working, its hands stopped at 2:30. At the core of Tiffany's nightmares is a dark haired woman in a wheelchair she doesn't recognize being pushed down the grand staircase at the mansion, she falling to her death. Erica confides in Tiffany - what she had confided previously to Cliff who has notched it up to an overactive imagination - that there is something or someone, perhaps a supernatural being, that does not want her in the house and thus is trying to kill her. Tiffany has long believed in the paranormal and thus takes Erica's fear seriously. They will have to convince Cliff, as well as Kelly and Kris, to prevent any harm to Erica, with Tiffany believing that whatever is going to happen to Erica, human or supernaturally driven, will happen at the costume party.

Angel's Child

On behalf of the agency's latest client, Consolidated Appliances, which has been the victim of a series of robberies, Kelly is acting as the liaison with the police, the case led by Sgt. Cates. Kelly can see how volatile Cates is when they capture two of three perpetrators in the process of the latest robbery, the third who got away and shot Cates' partner dead. Cates was ready to shoot one of the unarmed perpetrators point blank until Kelly stopped him. In meeting recently widowed Cates' preteen son Greg Cates, Kelly believes the outlet for all of Cates' pent up anger and frustrations is Greg, who is sporting some bruises and cuts on his face likely from a beating by his father. Kelly has to tread lightly before she accuses Cates of anything, especially as Greg loves his father and doesn't want to see anything bad happen to him. This situation may make Cates and Kelly's working relationship more difficult, which is only complicated by the third man - the cop killer - and the two masterminds of the robberies willing to use Greg as insurance so that their two colleagues in jail get off scot-free.

One of Our Angels Is Missing

The agency is hired by bail bondsman Harry Silvers, whose latest "bailer", Vic Devlin, bailed on him, despite the case against Devlin, a suspected thief, especially of jewels, being flimsy, meaning the high likelihood that he would have gotten off anyway. Silvers wants the Angels to bring Devlin back to Los Angeles - Devlin's recent movements showing that he is hiding out in Phoenix - so that Silvers can get his $50,000 bond back. As they cannot forcibly bring Devlin back as that would be kidnapping, Charlie suggests dangling some bait in front of him, namely attractive, wealthy and available women with lots to steal, Charlie unilaterally choosing Kris among the Angels as that bait. Kris' cover includes a Bel Air mansion, a vulnerable safe in the mansion being the ultimate bait Kris is to dangle in front of him. As Devlin is solely a thief, this undercover role is deemed relatively risk-free for Kris. What Charlie, Bosley and the Angels are unaware of is the reason for Devlin jumping bail was that he had just killed one of his former associates who threatened to turn him into the authorities, and that he had previously raped and murdered three of his former wealthy female marks, which makes Kris' job all of a sudden life threatening without she even knowing it, which could make her game of stringing him along sexually without getting at all intimate all the more dangerous.

Catch a Falling Angel

The agency is hired by Charlie's old friend Cal Jeffers, a sheriff in a small town in the Tennessee mountains, to locate his son Seth Jeffers who has been missing for a week. Seth came to Los Angeles to try and find his fiancée, Bess Hemsdale, an aspiring singer/songwriter, albeit an illiterate one, who had come to the city months ago to try and make it big in the music business. All the Angels and Bosley have to go on are the few items left in Seth's hotel room, including the cassette recordings Bess sent to Seth as her "letters" home, and a ticket stub to the Starbrite, a porno theater. In following those two leads, the Angels discover that Bess has become a porno star, her producer, Joe Willis, who probably lured her into believing it would be her big break. They also believe that Joe may have killed Seth to protect his investment in Bess. As such, the Angels and Bosley change their mission from locating Seth to finding Seth's dead body as well as saving Bess from her new Los Angeles life with Joe.

Homes $weet Homes

The agency is hired by the wealthy Mayhews of Beverly Hills. In the process of they putting their mansion up for sale and the selling agent holding open houses, they came home after one of those open houses to find the security alarm disarmed, with an assailant inside who proceeded to assault Mr. Mayhew physically and steal $500,000 worth of rare third dynasty Egyptian jewels, the robber who knew exactly where the display case housing the jewels was located of what were arguably the most easily transportable and salable items in the mansion. Despite there being a number of possible suspects in the prospective buyers who attended the open house, the Angels and Bosley focus their attention on two companies, the most reputable in Beverly Hills in their respective fields: Tyrone's, a gourmet food catering company, one of their vans which was seen by the Mayhews across the street when they arrived home; and Barry Kingsbrook Realty, the Mayhew's real estate agency. The Angels and Bosley infiltrate both companies on multiple levels. Once they believe they've figured out who is the mastermind, they set a trap by Tiffany going undercover as a Beverly Hills socialite hiring Kingsbrook to sell her mansion - with Tyrone catering the open houses - she making well known to all that she has a rare $2 million collection of early American letters which are easily transportable and salable by any good high end thief.

Dancin' Angels

The agency is hired by Joe Fairgate to locate his sister, Sally Fairgate, who disappeared in a "she was there, then all of a sudden she wasn't" scenario. Although the Fairgates are extremely wealthy, the Angels and Joe believe, since there is no ransom request, that Sally's disappearance has nothing to do with their wealth, but rather something to do with the location where she went missing, a three day/thirty hour ballroom dance competition at the struggling Dancetown dance hall where Joe and Sally were entered and, coming out of nowhere, became the favorites to win the $5,000 first prize. Attending Dancetown as potential contestants, the Angels and Bosley end up investigating many of those involved directly with the competition: Dancetown's co-owners, P.J. Wilkes and Al Norman, who, on the surface, have a film noir shadiness to them, especially in Norman idolizing the classic movie tough guys; Elton Mills, the bandleader who longs to return to the big band era; and Billy and Betty, the band's young vocal couple whose usual taste in music isn't found in such dance halls. But who becomes their chief suspect is "couple number 6", who were favored to win the competition before Joe and Sally arrived on the scene, with the male of the couple having an especially easily triggered temper in achieving the prize, the question being at any cost?

Harrigan's Angel

The agency is hired by George Starrett, whose plant was robbed twice within recent memory of micro-electronic components. The guard in the monitoring room on duty the night of the second robbery saw nothing unusual on the security cameras. What Starrett fails to inform Charlie, Bosley and the Angels upon accepting the job is that he had already hired another private investigator for the first robbery, he who the Angels and Bosley must work with on this case. Starrett was forced by his insurance company to hire a second private detective firm, the job which they do accept with a little financial incentive. That first detective is named Harrigan - just Harrigan - who may have once been a good private detective, but whose life has led him down a road of incompetence either because of and/or fueled by alcohol abuse. Kelly and Tiffany lead the investigation on behalf of the agency, while Kris volunteers to be the liaison with Harrigan, she believing she best suited for that role having dealt with someone like Harrigan previously in her life. The question for Kris is if Harrigan will be an asset, a liability or just dead weight during the investigation.

High end bookie Tom Ford, who went into hiding three years ago, was going to testify in front of a Senate committee, he willing to give up someone or something big in return for immunity. The reason he was able to evade the authorities for those three years was because he had extensive plastic surgery done totally altering his appearance. The surgery was probably performed by Dr. Paul Redmont, one of the most renowned plastic surgeons on the west coast. Ford can no longer testify as his fears of someone out to kill him has been realized. Senator Thompson, the committee chair, wants the Angels to find out who or what that big thing Ford had was. The Senator and Charlie believe that someone big is Bill Maddox who looted a pension fund before he was able to escape to South America. Before he died, Ford wired some money into the account of someone named Brad Collins, a Brad Collins who is about to check into Dr. Redmont's health spa and clinic. As such, the Angels and Bosley have to discover if Brad Collins and Bill Maddox are indeed one and the same, and thus have to do it before Brad Collins goes under the knife to alter his appearance. They go undercover, Bosley as a clinic patient, Kris as his demanding trophy wife, and Tiffany as a nurse at the clinic. They also have to find out if Dr. Redmont is aware of his actions, and thus if he is knowing involved in crime. In looking into his background, they discover that he is going through a break up of his marriage, which to them is a red flag that there may a new woman in his life pulling the strings. They have to find out who she is.

Three for the Money

The agency is hired collectively by Professor McKendrick, Mike Lloyd and Mrs. Pattison, who were each swindled by a con man named Harley Dexter to the tune of close to a quarter million dollars in total. The three want the Angels and Bosley to get their money back, no more, no less. Dexter believes that he truly conned some of them in they not knowing that he has their money, while he knows others know that he has their money. The Angels and Bosley figure that the best way both to get back at him and to retrieve the money is to con the con, preying both on Dexter's greed and his love for the ladies. While Bosley and Kelly team with Professor McKendrick, Kris with Mike, and Tiffany with Mrs. Pattison, they enact three somewhat concurrent cons related to how he conned the three: the smuggling of rare Mayan art pieces from Mexico into the States; the stealing of Dexter's Rolls-Royce; and providing a payoff to a Senator Langston, who has been investigating Dexter's criminal activities. Thrown into the mix is a violent criminal named De Sousa with who Dexter has been doing business, and the Angels and Bosley learning that Dexter has $100,000 stashed away for the emergency if he ever needs to make a quick getaway.

After an attempt is made on the Angels' lives, Charlie hires a rival detective agency run by his old friend, Antonia Blake, to keep an eye on his employees. Blake, who likes to be called 'Toni', assigns her three boys to the case. They are: former U.S. Olympic champion Bob Sorenson, master of disguise Matt Parrish and champion rodeo rider, roper and tracker Cotton Harper. The Angels, feeling they can solve the case themselves, try to ditch the men as soon as possible.
