Flowers for Your Grave

Murder mystery author Richard 'Rick' Castle's book, in which he kills off his bestseller series' hero, Derek Storm, is published. On that very day, NYPD detective Kate Beckett questions him about two murders in the exact style of his novels; on a lawyer Martin Fisk and a social worker, Alyson Tisdale. He's professionally flattered to have a copycat. Her boss, Captain Roy Montgomery, accepts his help as case consultant and teams them up, due to Castle being friends with the Mayor. Another copy killing follows. The evidence found by the police leads to the arrest of a fan, Kyle Cabot. Castle and his author friends decide the 'story' doesn't make sense and has a few holes in it, leading Castle to keep investigating, which he does brilliantly, as even Beckett must grudgingly admit.

Calvin could just wait, knowing his opponent, Jason Bollinger, is ahead in the polls and possesses photos of Jeff with prostitute Tiffany obtained from P.I. Bruce Kirby, a fired cop. She says Jeff was being blackmailed. Widow Laurie Horn now stands, and takes the lead. The investigation focuses on money trails.
