The third season of the procedural series lifts off with Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and the team investigating a community suspected of having cannibalistic tendencies. Other seasonal investigations include the murders of a soccer mom, a philandering organic farmer, a Jeffersonian intern, a mall Santa and a motorcycle racer. Yet the season's most challenging case centers on a cannibalistic serial killer known as the Gormogon, as the team unearth chilling evidence suggesting that one of their own may be working as the Gormogon's apprentice.
