A woman complains to another about the latter always being judgmental in their relationship, while another looks on taking copious, detailed notes. A group of Italian "Donnas" convene to discuss how to deal with a rash of shootings that threaten their authority. Two women argue about whether one's new dishwasher can be "problematic" as opposed to "a problem". One woman has a reaction to her friend's comments about a new girlfriend, the first comment being "she seems great", with subsequent ones being in the same vein. Marsha's office coworkers react to her new, red leather jacket, while Marsha herself, having those same views, may deal with it in a slightly different way than her coworkers. Two of Candace's friends help her retrieve her things from her ex-boyfriend's apartment, in the process avoiding all the toxic items of their relationship. A tenant in an apartment building can't help but wonder what is behind the locked door with the new warning sign, "No Entry - Dangerous Levels of Emotional Toxicity". At a wedding reception, the bride and groom do not want to observe the traditional ritual of clinking glasses. In wanting to speak with her, a multitasking boss drags one of her subordinates around the office as she embarks on tasks not related to said subordinate. And in her dog Bipsy seemingly becoming ill at the last minute, Tracy receives a suggestion from her friend Christine about what to do about her entry in the kennel show.
