Incredible British nature documentary in which legendary David Attenborough revisits Madagascar to see how the island has changed since his first visit 50 years prior, and to search for more clues about one of his most treasured possessions he recieved as a gift- the egg of an elephant bird, an ostrich-like creature that weighed half a ton. In 1960, David Attenborough visited the island of Madagascar to film one of his first wildlife series ''Zoo Quest'' and while he was there, he got a giant egg of an extinct species known as the elephant bird. Now, fifty years later, he returns to the island to find out more about this amazing creature and to see how the island has changed. Scientists will perform tests to determine the age of the egg, as the naturalist examines could the elephant bird's fate provide lessons that may help protect Madagascar's remaining wildlife.
