Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert pick the worst movies of 1991. They bemoan the wasted talent in Scenes from a Mall (1991) and Shout (1991). Ebert asks why anyone would want to Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991) when the original trip was so bad, and Siskel asks why anyone would want to go Stepping Out (1991) with Liza Minnelli and a group of clichéd misfits. Siskel hates the twisted message in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991). Ebert sat in stony silence at the big-budget bomb, Hudson Hawk (1991) and in disgusted silence at the would-be comedy, Nothing But Trouble (1991), while Siskel found just as little to laugh at in Dice Rules (1991). Siskel's choice for the very worst movie of the year is the aggravating non-comedy, Drop Dead Fred (1991); Ebert's is the incomprehensible Highlander II: The Quickening (1991).
