Episode 1
As they fly a cargo run to a remote community, Bobby tries to engage Krista in a discussion about their relationship. But the conversation is interrupted when they spot a terrified family fleeing a raging forest fire below. Their rescue attempt goes awry when the winds shift and the wildfire wipes out their plane. And when the flames trap Bobby, they need help from Arctic Air water bombers and helicopters to get him out. Meanwhile, Loreen drags Mel back to work for the first time since the crash. He's healthy, but he's been stalling. And in the frenzy of the fire rescue, Loreen is surprised when Mel doesn't jump into a plane to help - making her wonder if the accident has spooked him from the cockpit for good.
Episode 2
Mel still hasn't flown since the crash and Loreen is about to confront him when Yellowknife is rocked by a series of eco-terrorist bombings aimed at stopping Ronnie Dearman's controversial uranium mine. Before long, the police have their suspect in custody - the leader of the protest movement: Bobby's sister, Deanna. Bobby tries to prove her innocence but Deanna refuses to talk. To make matters worse, Bobby discovers that Deanna's daughter Hailey is having an affair with the man he suspects is the real bomber. It all comes to a head when Bobby learns there is one more bomb and it's hidden on an Arctic Air plane, piloted by Krista.

Episode 3
It's been months since the plane crash that nearly claimed Mel's life - and he hasn't set foot in a cockpit since. But when he learns from Bobby and Caitlin that Nelson has gone missing, Mel finds the courage to get back in the air. Bobby is picking up the hunters that Nelson was supposed to be guiding, but when he and Caitlin arrive, Nelson is nowhere to be found. A search ensues and they find Nelson, shot and barely conscious. Turns out, the hunters weren't there to hunt caribou after all. Now Bobby, Caitlin and Nelson are on the run and have to get back to the plane before the hunters get to them. Back at Arctic Air, Krista and Astrid are forced to transport high-paying executive clients in the DC-3 after the helicopter is grounded with mechanical problems. The executives are less than pleased with the downgrade and things go from bad to worse when the DC-3 loses elevator control and Cece has to give Alex a crash course in mid-air repair.

Episode 4
Krista takes Bobby as her date to a wedding in the high Arctic. They have a great time until they head back to Krista's room and are confronted by Blake - Krista's original date to the wedding. Mel has sent Blake to bring them back to Yellowknife immediately. But bad weather forces a rough landing at an abandoned Dew Line Station and Bobby suffers a head injury. Now the three members of this awkward love triangle are stuck together until the storm passes. The situation only gets worse when the three pilots realize there are three other people, seemingly also stranded at the Dew Line. But their stories just don't add up and Bobby, Blake and Krista realize that the three strangers have their own deadly conflicts that might mean no one leaves the Dew Line Station alive. In Yellowknife, Kirby attempts to salvage what's left of his shaky marriage and Dev and Astrid go house hunting for Dev. Dev and Astrid's different ideas about their relationship complicate the house search and confuse their realtor. When Cece reveals that the only house in Dev's budget has a sordid past, both Dev and Astrid may be happy to stay in Krista's house a little longer.

Episode 5
Roughnecks, brawlers, and thugs descend on Yellowknife to compete in the annual Northern Tough Guy Competition. Among them is Jim McAllister, who desperately needs quick cash to keep his diamond claim afloat. Bobby agrees to be his corner man and soon learns that the real money is in the side bets. Chief among the betters is Ronnie Dearman, who just happens to be backing the hands-down favorite - Alvin "The Hammer" Hammarstrom. Bobby shocks everyone when he bets Jim's diamond claim, against Dearman's twenty-grand. Meanwhile, the Arctic Air crew meets its newest pilot - Blake's old friend, Randy - an experienced pilot with an impressive resume. But not long into a routine cargo run, Blake senses that Randy isn't the crack pilot he once was and that his first flight might be their last.
Episode 6
Bobby and Krista take on a government contract to transport a polar bear from Rankin Inlet to Yellowknife. During the flight, Krista learns Bobby had a fling with the biologist, who is escorting the bear to a sanctuary in Siberia. Despite rising tension between the women, all goes according to plan... until the biologist meets the two representatives from the Siberian conservation area. Already wary of their ability to care for "her" bear, she panics when they deny her a place on the flight to Siberia. She pulls a gun and demands Bobby and Krista return the bear to Rankin Inlet. But when the bear breaks loose, the biologist's life is at stake along with her hostages. Suspicious about what's happening inside his locked building, but unaware of the real danger his daughter and Bobby are in, Mel sends his staff home. But in the melee, Kirby goes missing and Cece sets out to find him. Meanwhile, at Bullocks, Astrid plays matchmaker for Caitlin and rookie rampie, Tommy.

The dying words of a legendary mining prospector sparks a race for Yukon gold between Arctic Air and Bruce Ward - and Bruce doesn't like to play by the rules. Cece and Dev have enlisted the help of Jim McAllister, but they'll need to call in a favour from Bobby if they're going to find the gold and stake their claim first. Meanwhile, Krista asks Blake to cover for Bobby who has taken off to help with the gold claim. In the cockpit, the mood is tense, especially after Blake learns that their cargo has been delayed and he's stuck in Fort Smith with Krista for the day.
Episode 8
It's Arctic Air's 35th anniversary and Bobby has big plans for a party. He wants to open the hangar and invite the whole town. But when Petra tells him that their son Connor has gone missing, he drops everything to fly her to Tuktoyaktuk - leaving Krista to pull the party together in a day. In Tuk, Bobby and Petra learn that Petra's ex took Connor camping in the barrens. Bobby and Petra set out on a harrowing rescue across the frigid Arctic terrain - but their mutual concern for Connor re-ignites an old passion. In Yellowknife, Krista enlists Dev and Astrid's help to prep the party without Mel finding out about it and Dev discovers, to his delight, that Astrid is a terrible liar.

Episode 9
Former rock goddess Delilah Fury is about to embark on the northern leg of her comeback tour - and Arctic Air scores the contract to fly her. But Delilah isn't the performer she used to be - she can barely finish a show without vomiting on stage, if she bothers to show up at all. And she refuses to fly with any pilot other than Bobby Martin, with whom she had a fling in Vancouver, years ago. Concert promoter Bruce Ward sends Kimbo Comstock to manage Delilah, but the diva's antics only serve to enrage the already volatile Kimbo. When Bobby intervenes to save Delilah from Kimbo, he makes a very dangerous enemy. Meanwhile, with Bobby forced to play chauffeur on the rock tour, Krista is left to look after Bobby's son, Connor. Turns out, Connor has run into some trouble of his own - bullies. And that's when Mel steps in to teach the kid how to settle a score.

Episode 10
When a routine flight to Sibbeston Lake turns into a shootout at the O.K. Corral, Bobby and Mel realize someone is trying to kill their lone passenger, a soft-spoken gentlemen from West Virginia. But who? As the community's nurse, Rita, works on the passenger's wounds, Bobby begins to put the pieces together. Turns out, the shooter is someone they know. And his reason will shock everyone - especially Mel. At Arctic Air, Loreen receives a special package in the mail - the bones of her great-great-grandfather that have been gathering dust in a Winnipeg museum. But before Loreen can arrange a traditional burial, her auntie arrives with her own plans for the bones - a Christian burial... in a church. As their disagreement escalates, the police arrive at the request of the museum. But the bones have mysteriously disappeared, leaving Loreen and her auntie pointing fingers at each other.

Krista's mom Irene arrives for a visit - her first in twenty years. With Bobby in Fort Simpson for Connor's spelling bee, Krista is left alone to seek the answer to a lifelong question: Why did Irene leave a 12-year-old Krista behind? But just when Krista lets down her guard and makes a real connection with Irene, her mother devastates her with a painful truth and Krista realizes Mel has been lying to her for two decades. Meanwhile, Bobby, Petra and Connor play 'family' at the territorial spelling bee. Connor may be happy to have Bobby along, but he certainly doesn't show it, taking every opportunity to introduce Bobby as the 'sperm donor'. But Bobby's used to this treatment - payback for his eleven-year absence. What Bobby isn't used to is the simmering attraction between him and Petra.
Episode 12
Bobby and Krista head south to Calgary on business, even though Mel knows it's essentially a romantic getaway on the company dime. A massive arctic storm is heading straight for Yellowknife and Bobby isn't interested in sticking around long enough for the temperature to drop. But when Krista learns about Bobby and Petra's kiss, the weekend turns sour. To make it worse, Blake and Alex hitch a ride for a getaway of their own. Tensions rise when Blake's sister arrives and seems to have ulterior motives, but things really go off the tracks when Bobby and Krista's business contact turns out to be none other than Ronnie Dearman. Meanwhile, Astrid suffers through a six-hour flight alone with Cece. They have nothing in common and nothing to talk about. But the dropping temperature creates engine troubles and Astrid has to make a rough weather landing in the middle of nowhere. Being stranded with Cece is the last thing Astrid wants, but as they work together to get their plane back in the air, an odd-couple friendship develops between them.

She's been kidnapped and the bikers are going to kill her if they don't get Nelson. Bobby and Mel are forced to confess the truth to Loreen and Krista, who both thought Nelson was dead.
